My rating is 0 stars. The dealership Traditions Chevrolet posted a vehicle online for sale. I reached out to them to inquire about the vehicle's condition. They assured me that the vehicle was in a working condition and it had been reviewed by their technicians. They told me it only needed valve cover gasket replacement and rear main seal, which were meant to be small repairs. I agreed to purchase on December 22, 2022. The following day, I took the vehicle to a shop to make the repairs I was told by the dealership. They fixed those issues. However, I noticed that the vehicle was shaky and several engine lights turned on. A couple days later, I was driving on the highway with my children, when an engine light turned on stating ENGINE REDUCED POWER, and the car shut down. When it turned on, it wouldn't drive above 30mph. My family and I could have been seriously injured if we had gotten in an accident that day. I took it to the shop and after they thoroughly inspected it, they told me that the engine (motor) wasn't functional and needed replacement; estimated at 3K. They also told me that the engine lights had been reset to prevent me from knowing the vehicle's issues, which were not disclosed by the dealership at the time of the sale. I called the dealership to inform them about the issues, and they told me that the vehicle was sold as is (even though they did not disclose those significant issues), and couldn't do anything about it in a very demeaning tone. I tried to get solutions from them, and they were not open for communication anymore. I filed a Consumer Complaint form to an attorney general, so they can look into this business’ practices, so future customers won’t have to go through this. Please be careful when purchasing cars from this dealership, specifically used cars. They only care about making money. It’s extremely disappointing to see how unethical this...
Read moreWe had decided our next family vehicle was going to be a Chevy Tahoe. We called all the local dealerships and we weren't able to find what we wanted. Most websites weren't updated frequently, showing listings of vehicles that were available, but really weren't when you'd call to inquire. The search was beginning to get exhausting. And we got close to making a purchase, only to find out it was sold almost as soon as we were ready to walk out the door.
That evening, I expanded our search radius to include small towns outside of our major city, up to 200 miles away. We found a brand new Chevy Tahoe in a surprisingly beautiful color - midnight blue - and requested info on it.
The next day, John called me to let me know that the Tahoe was still available. He put me in touch with their sales girl - Miriam. She was amazing! She worked with our schedule and helped to make the entire process a smooth one.
We made plans to make the 2.5 hour drive out there to look at the car and the next thing you know - we have a brand spankin' new Chevy Tahoe!
Everyone at Traditions was so helpful and genuine - something we never have experienced with car dealerships. Honestly, I hated the idea of going into one because of negative experiences in the past with pushy car salesmen. But everyone here was fantastic! If you're looking for a Chevy - come check out Traditions Chevrolet. It's worth the drive. Oh - and Lupe's Mexican Restaurant was next door and had some of the best Mexican food we've...
Read moreI was headed from Santa Fe to Centerpoint with my 4 year old Friday, and my Ford Escape started overheating. I pulled over by the dealership, and went inside, still panicked over my vehicle wondering how I'd ever make it to my parents house. Mike and Susan went above and beyond to make sure my water pump got replaced so i could continue my drive to see my parents and for my little girl to see her grandma and pawpaw. they had my vehicle looked at right away, the issue diagnosed (water pump), and even sent the driver to go get the parts. Mike shared some of his candy stash with my daughter, and Susan turned on cartoons to keep her entertained. they kept offering to grab lunch for us (we were there for over 4.5 hours) and never once showed anything but compassion to my daughter and I. I work at a dealership, so I'm really used to being in that environment, and seeing the way they interact with customers was absolutely stunning. they turned my discouraging situation into a great day with people my daughter and I will ALWAYS remember. they even smiled when my restless 4 year old would just go run around, or talk to them while they were working. I will never forget how much they helped me that day, and I will forever be grateful for such sweet, and kind...
