If I could leave negative stars I would. This was the last straw. Dont walk in the door 15 min before they close and expect to see the lights on or get any service. I walked in at 4:45 and note the door says they close at 5:00. The lights are out and 2 guys are standing at the counter doing nothing. I ask " are you guys still open?" they both look at me like I ruined their day. "sorta.. we close at 5" is the response I get. "What do you need?" he asks... I need two short pieces of wire cut I said back. "Oh, we aren't going to cut any wire right now" he says.... I look at him with total disgust at how lazy this guy is... He noticed my disgust and says " well what is it?" I looked him in the eye and said "Dont bother, I dont want to make you do your job and walked out" The inability for this place to find competent workers is crazy. 2 months ago I needed a very common outlet. They were out of stock of the one I needed. The entire shelf was full except the one I needed. I needed 2 of them so they had to order them in. I went back the next day to pick them up and decided I needed 3. So I asked for three. "oh, we only got the 2 you needed" Are you kidding me! you know the shelf is empty. Thats why you ordered my 2 in the first place. Wouldn't you think you would get a few more for stock? It seems like every single time I go here the people behind the counter are either useless, Lazy or stupid. They never have the most simple common items considering they are a massive warehouse. I always end up down the street getting the rest of my stuff. I only go because they are 100 yards away. Not anymore. Ill be driving across town...
Read moreThis place is great! I work at a small Golf course around the corner and we are always in need of weird breakers, bulbs, electrical components associated with irrigation repair and Billows has it all. Best part is, Counter guy Chuck will always look up if the LED bulb you're buying is eligible for a rebate, so you can save yourself or the customer some money. Another thing; try to know what you want/need when you walk in the door, these guys are super busy and don't have alot of time to walk you around the store and hold your hand. If you're nice to them they are nice to...
Read moreI've never met a pile of grumpier employees that I've managed to inconvenience with my presence by needing electrical supplies. One dude wanted to ram a pallet into the back of my Tesla with a forklift, so I asked him instead for a hand loading the $1000 generator I just bought. "Pfffft... no." Was the response that I got. No problem, I'll do it myself... I don't want you to have a heart attack and die grumpy and unhelpful.
The folks over at Colonial are actually cool and helpful... wish I had gone back there. No idea how this place gets any return business. ...
