Dollar General — Local services in East Donegal Township

Tried to make a return without a receipt and they refused saying they cant. Asked to see their old receipts because they must have just thrown them out I was just there and left my receipt there. She kept refusing saying they dont have them. I asked where the trashcan is. Claimed they dont have one, but they do its right below it. I wasnt being smart or rude until she kept looking away from me and said she wont argue with me. She was very rude when I was trying to make a return which I know they will so for something equal value in the store or a gift card. I know they do returns without a receipt and I have the proof of purchase through my card. After i kept asking why, she claimed they dont do it its their policy and they “take the receipts for returns to corporate” Called wrightsville and they helped me right away telling me they dont know why she would say that its not true and to just come there. I understand since I've been a manager at DG, these kinda stores will never be perfect, I know the store manager makes sure every week to get the product out on the Sales floor as soon as possible. There aren't many stores that can keep up the way this store can. This is also a very clean dollar general compared to some I have seen. I also know that the staff is attentive as they can be while still being productive during business hours. Having to push out product while still attending to guests/customers is not the most ideal situation for many people. However at DG it is the norm and people fail to realize that. This morning I had to stop here with only 5 mins to get in and out. Not only was I greeted in a friendly manner but I was personally walked to the one item I needed for my teachers gift specifically. The worker went above and beyond for me. I wasn’t late to work and it truly felt nice to converse with someone who seemed to really enjoy being there.
