Hometown Market — Local services in East Haddam

I've had mixed experiences since coming here. Half the times I order a sandwich it's loaded and delicious, the other half of the time the sandwich barely has anything on it. I also feel my experience with the employees has been equally as 50/50, either well mannered and pleasant or no manners and personality of a cardboard cutout. For the sake of inconsistency I can't give it more then 3/5. You'll either have a 1/5 experience or a 5/5 experience but never the same experience, always a gamble never a guarantee.

I recommend taking the extra 5 minute drive to Westchester Market, I've consistently had pleasant encounters with employees and consistent extremely generous portions for the price.

I will not be returning for a long while in hopes that things will be different in a year...

It is with great pleasure that I give the owner of this market this rating. Momar has been more than a nice friendly person. He has gone out of his way to make sure he has the products that we are looking for in stock. If he doesn’t have it, he makes sure to get it. He is doing a phenomenal job in keeping his customers happy . We sure are very impressed!! Recently we were preparing for storm Henri and Momar made sure he had plenty of water in stock because he understood there was a need. Skimpy on products and just not what it used to be when it was "Grist Mill Market "....update - went today to get sour cream. Half of what was on the shelf had expired at least a month ago.
