We've been shopping at this Aldi for at least a couple of years. Lately it's been noticeably declining: Shelves poorly stocked, mostly, but also something else. In the evening there is virtually no effort made to keep the store presentable. On a very recent visit, there were strawberries and other small produce items scattered on the floor. There was actually a cucumber on the floor in the aisle where they have baking items (flour, sugar, etc.). The place was a mess. I asked my friend who was shopping with me: "Can you imagine Publix allowing their store to get like this?"
This is a pattern we've seen at other Aldi stores, where they seem intent on making a great first impression when they first open and eventually they appear to stop caring. We now shop more often at Publix (across the street) than we used to, but we still go to Aldi for produce. If the decline of this store continues, it will be hard to justify shopping at Aldi just to save a relatively small amount of money on a limited number of items. The bottom line at Aldi is that they're completely indifferent to the concept of making shopping a pleasant experience. They've probably learned from long experience that shoppers will accept a degraded environment in exchange for a modest savings on food. Kind...
Read moreI finished my check out 15 minutes before closing 08/18/23 and of course my two kids had to use the restroom so the nice lady at the register lets me know they are to the right. I get out of one bathroom with my daughter and go to the other to check on my son who has special needs and the Hispanic looking dark haired gentleman screamed out we are closed the bathrooms closed an hour ago I let him know that I was checking on my son who was at that time washing his hands. People were still shopping and checking out the lady who was with me came to check on me because she was outside he yells at her which if you care to respond to me I can send you her number . And tells her we’re closed she told me later she said I’m done shopping I was checking on my friend but I see her and she told me he was rude I let her know that on my way out after my son finished washing his hands I told him to speak to us how he spoke to the other customers my child should not have to wonder why some man is yelling at us and not the others that are still shopping . All I ask is that you teach your door people some respect and customer service “ma’am I’m sorry we are closed and our bathrooms closed at 7”. Instead of screaming. thanks everything...
Read morePurchased an Asian salad kit today got home and noticed it had expired over a week ago. My fault-should have checked the date in the store. Went back to get a non-expired one. I asked to speak to a manager to make sure they get all the other expired ones off the shelf. Google says eating old salad can make at risk people seriously ill. A manager named Mike came up. He was extremely rude and short with me. He pointed to the register and said I could return it then turned his back and started to walk away. I stopped him and asked if he was going to remove any other expired salad kits. He said yes and again turned his back and walked away. I still needed a salad so I walked back expecting to see someone going through the salad kits but that was not the case. I guess promptly getting dangerous expired food off the shelf wasn’t an immediate priority.
With the technology these days I assume their inventory system gives real time updates on expired products. Between that and this “managers” horrible customer service I suspect this store has serious issues . And I’m usually a huge fan of Aldi (see my review of the...
