Royal Scoop Homemade Ice Cream at Berkshire Commons — Restaurant in Florida

We came into Royal Scoop excited for some fun and great ice cream, but unfortunately the service was really disappointing. We weren’t greeted when we walked in, and when we asked for a sample, the staff didn’t say a word — just handed it to us silently. We asked about the special holiday flavors and instead of answering, one of the girls just pointed at a sign.

When we started to order with the same person who gave us samples, she abruptly told us to “go over there” in a rude tone, pointing to the cashier. We didn’t mean to cause confusion — just assumed we’d finish ordering with the same person helping us.

We were kind the entire time, came in well before closing, and still tipped 18% on our $40 order. We understand everyone has off days, but a little friendliness would have made a big difference. Ice cream is supposed to be a happy treat — the service didn’t reflect that at all.

About a month ago my wife tried Royal Scoop for our Sunday night ice cream cone. My wife's cone of cookie Dough had one piece of cookie dough in it. When she pointed this out to the manager as an FYI, the manager offered to put one more piece of cookie dough in her cone and thought that was fine.

Tonight we tried Royal Scoop again as we had a BYGO coupon and we wanted to give them a 2nd chance since the store is close to where we live. The ice cream cones we both got were the smallest cones we have ever gotten anywhere. Apparently BYGO meant giving us half the ice cream we got in the past. Hard to accept when a single dip cones cost $4.50.

Tonight was the last time we will ever go to Royal Scoop. it was a disappointing experience twice in a row and the worst...

I just ordered Royal scoop through Uber. Ice cream cost me $26 and about the same for delivery and tip. I usually go the one on Bonita…. When ordering I didn’t realize I wasn’t ordering from Bonita store, my mistake. When the Uber driver dropped off the ice cream, I first thought maybe he forgot one of the bags…. It was a lunch bag carting 4 ice creams…. 2 mini sized and 2 single scoop. For all that do eat in Bonita, the portions I received were very very small….. their scoop size was pathetic. I don’t know if that’s how this store does things, or if they do this to cut corners with delivery orders “save on costs by cutting customers ice cream in half…. Literally in half… I am Mit kidding.
