Disappointing. Made an appointment for 2pm, greeted with the statement that they were running behind. Enployees behind the counter were not rude but definitely not engaged. At 4:30 I was finally leaving. Four new tires, price was great. They did add $12 a tire for road hazard protection without asking if I wanted it or reviewing the price with me prior to check out. After questioning the charge I was told that I had to decline-I was never asked. A refund was offered and accepted. The synthetic oil change($70) was almost $40 more than price that I chose online. They did call ahead and said it would be a bit more, to which I agreed never thinking that double the price would be considered a "bit more." An alignment was completed, the car drives much better but is still pulling to the left. When I finally got my car it was making a VERY obvious noise that would have been easily audible to the tech pulling the car into the lot. Apparently they were comfortable giving me the car like that. I drove about 100 feet to the front door, parked and went back in. They took the car back in the bay and fixed the issue. I was told that the weights they put on were too large and rubbing the caliper... yeah, okay... Whatever they did made the noise stop. I just hope there are no continued issues as I'm not confident that i was given the correct information. Overall not a great experience and will not go back. This was a second chance as after the first oil change I had them do they did not put the plug back in properly. I noticed an oil leak the next day so took it to another garage where the mechanic said that the plug pretty much fell out into his hand. Thought it was a fluke so gave them another try. Apparently shoddy work is the standard. Crossing my fingers on this oil change and alignment. Would definitely...
Read moreWould not recommend. If you get anything done here, they're going to find things wrong with your vehicle. I'd recommend getting second opinions or just avoiding.
Let me preface this by saying, I know very little about cars, I'm just reporting what I was told. I was recommended this garage by a friend.
Several months ago, I got 4 new tires from them and they told me I needed brakes. I told them to just change the tires and I'll bring it back in a few weeks for brakes. When I got my car back, it was making a grinding sound when I used the brakes. I took it back a week later because of the sound and for brakes. Then they said they couldn't figure out why it was making that sound and that the car didn't need brakes. I was taken aback, so I took it to another mechanic for the sound. There was corrosion on the brakes that he cleaned off and it was fine.
Recently, had my car inspected at the same Jack Williams. My car has been driving fine, no issues. They told me my car failed inspection and that I needed control arms for the front and the back and quoted me almost $2,000 to fix. I declined to have it fixed by them and took it to another garage to be inspected. The new garage didn't know about Jack Williams' inspection. Car passed inspection, no issues.
I specifically asked about the brakes and suspension when I picked my vehicle up, they said the suspension was good and the brakes passed but brakes may need to be changed in about 6 months.
Looking at the inspection reports between the two garages, Jack Williams rated my brakes and tires as significantly worse than the...
Read moreI just visited there with my elderly mother. Who still likes to remain independent in her shopping but does need assistance from time to time. She isn’t a real fast mover. It does take time but in most all the stores we visit, the cashiers are very friendly, patient and accommodating. This was not our experience with the cashier at this store. He barked very abruptly and abrasive at her to load her stuff on to the belt when she was trying to retrieve some grocery bags to purchase from under the belt. It was as if he was in a hurry and had ZERO patience with her at all. She looked at me and I could see that he embarrassed her.
The woman behind her offered to help her load her groceries on to the belt but as I said, she is trying very hard to remain independent and doesn’t like for me to help her do it. Which is why I was standing there. It helps to keep her mobility moving. She politely declined the woman’s offer and the woman, who also noticed the cashier’s abrasive tone smiled and said ok.
I didn’t complain inside the store because I didn’t want to further embarrass my mother but this encounter really upset me and my mother. I cannot see how this employee has been able to remain at this store. But he has. And that is unfortunate, as we will not be returning there to shop or at any Lidl for that matter. We will go to Aldi where the cashiers are friendly and...
