An extremely aggressive cashier that did not want to take NO for an answer on any given item. He basically forced it on the 2 women in front of me. They did agree to take the warranty on a battery operated drill,however, that was about the only way they were going to be able to leave with thr drill they wanted.
I had a lot of items that totaled nearly $200. The most expensive item being the mid-grade air powered grinder that was $50. I knew it was coming and so it began. The arguement as I saw it or sales pitch as he saw it ended by me declining the $10 extended warranty. Its only $10 to replace the tool. Ok its 20% the cost of the tool that has maybe 3 but definitely 2 moving parts inside which are two metal drive gears that will never break. Worst case scenario they get rusty from customer neglect which Im sure the warranty would not cover. In this case 3 eyedroppers of marvel mystery oil will prevent any rust. At this point the only tool on the counter was the sales associate. It was extremely busy with long lines and this sales tactic was clearly annoying other customers waiting in line as I saw heads shaking because they were as eager as myself to make it through the double doors. Batteries are not interchangeable, but it is the same tool. + And - are reversed and it has a different digital signal. Just remember you get what you pay for. $20 drill is a $20 drill. There are still hit and miss situations, however haven't purchased many things that I regretted buying due to lack of quality. Main one that sticks out which I regret & won't buy again is Harbor Freight batteries. They're good for UBER low power consuming devices, anything more than that and you can plan on replacing that battery in no time at all. Otherwise good job...
