I visited this place last week and I was beyond impressed with the excellent customer service I received while I was there. The owner, Bruce, was kind and informative and gave me a wonderful price for the things that I brought in to sell. He took the time to answer all of my questions about metals and weights and prices. He also informed me that by going straight to him I was getting a better deal than by going to a pawn shop or other gold/silver scrapping place because they typically end up selling what they'd buy from me to him anyways! I ran into Southern Precious Metals Exchange at the Augusta Coin Club (coin show) at the Columbia County Exhibition Center. I had a 10oz silver bar that I had picked up at another coin shop and they were happy to check it for me. While I was waiting I spoke with the wonderful lady and she was just the nicest person. She taught me that 10 oz silver bars are different shapes and may feel heavier (my concern about my bar). They had Engelhard prospector rounds so I bought one.
