Cannot wait until my lease is up!
Like others mentioned, a HUGE reason that the rent here is more expensive than plenty of places surrounding this area, is because of the amenities, which have not been able to be used for nearly 4 months. I completely understand that this is not managements fault.
HOWEVER, the new email about not opening the pool at all is ludicrous. The apartments reasoning for this is because they are going by the CDC's recommendation of having no more than 25 people in the pool at a time. This is very reasonable - however, the apartment management is claiming that they cannot maintain this recommendation, therefore, they just will not open the pool at all.
There are so many ways that this recommendation can be maintained and frankly, I think the management not trying any of these methods is pure laziness. My friend who lives in Cherry Hill, lives in an apartment complex much much larger than this complex and their pool is open. That apartments complex sends out a weekly sign up for the pool and they basically say first come first serve for the sign up and it closes out once 25 people have signed up for each day. I think this could absolutely work here - especially since all the building are not opened up yet.
My friend lives in Philly in a huge complex. That apartment decided not to open the pool for the season and they are giving each resident a $50 credit on their rent for the months of July and August.
My point is, there are many options for Eastampton Place West to consider in someway relieving the frustration from the fact that we are not able to use the amenities and they have not tried any of it.
Melissa, we don't need your cookie-cutter, copy and paste response to this, either. Management has not even TRIED to figure out how to open the pool or compensate residents in some form. You now do not have to maintain a pool as much or a gym or a common area, yet, we're still 'paying' for that. Thousands of apartment pools all over the state of new Jersey have figured out a reasonable approach to this unique situation - why can't you?
The appliances are nice. Parking is getting very full and that's not even with all the buildings open. There are going to be retail shops in some of the 1st floor areas of the two main buildings, yet there is not parking for that. So, people who come to those retail places and people who work there, will be taking residents parking spots which I think is NOT okay considering the price of rent. The apartments looked very nice when we first moved in but I slowly become irritated with a lot. The bedroom doors are pretty much nothing - it's like if you hung a sheet over the door because they are so thin that it does not block any noise.
In my opinion, you can find better apartments, that have been better planned out and higher-quality, for the same price. You can also find a management who genuinely wants to provide the best for their residents and unfortunately, I just do not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am currently a resident at Eastampton Place West and I am giving them 3 stars because there are definitely pros to being here, but some cons that need to be addressed.
In regards to pros, I think Melissa is a very personable and understanding property manager. Anytime I have addressed an issue or needed help, she has been very responsive. Also, the apartments include great assets inside and I am happy with the layout of my two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Personally, I moved in after the pool season was done, but I am looking forward to utilizing it in the summer.
In regards to the cons, there are numerous. I live on the street side of building 7000 and if you're not used to living in a city, the noise is AWFUL. My guests complain all the time about the street noise and how they can't sleep through the night without hearing loud trucks or noises from outside. Not to mention, being on the top floor, I can hear my neighbors perfectly below me and they're not shy with their noise levels.
I am worried about the gym and community clubhouse space. We have four more buildings coming into West and between East and West, there are only maybe ten pieces of gym equipment. Not to mention, only one side of the dog park is open and if you have a bigger dog that doesn't like little dogs, only one of you gets to use the dog park. Ridiculous. Lastly, the lack of handicap accessibility is sickening. I see people in wheelchairs, on crutches and for myself personally, I was just in a sling for a month. There is no accessibility button to open the apartment doors so good luck if you're trying to hold the door open and let yourself in. It won't be easy and you will find yourself cursing out the door numerous times like I have personally done and witnessed others do.
Overall, I have enjoyed my time here, but it's not somewhere I plan on staying for years. I'll leave this review on a positive note. Around teh area, everything you would need is within a short driving distance from the apartment complex. It's brand new and because of that, certain things show. It's a learning process across the board, but some things definitely need to change sooner...
Read moreDont waste your time and money. First off, its always hard to find parking, ive had to park outside in the front a couple of times because i work nights and when i come home there are LITERALLY NO PARKING SPOTS AVAILABLE. And i will actually drive around the ENTIRE lot. There are people who have designated parking spots with numbers on them at the other apartment building (8000) and they still park in random spots in front of our building as well as visitors that dont live here and even though its been brought to Melissa (the property manager) and the rest of the management team MULTIPLE times they dont do anything about it, so when i have no where else to park, I park out front and now im being threatened in an email by Melissa that im going to be fined if i continue to park in the only spot that is available. Sounds Crazy. My husband and I have tried to reach out to Melissa after getting that email, and she decided she just wasnt going to respond to us. How professional. We pay a lot of money to live here, we should be able to find parking with no problem⦠Other than that the place is okay, but not worth what were paying for. You can find other apartments with the same amenities and qualities for the same price, even cheaper with better management team. On the other hand maintenance is great! They are extremely friendly, helpful and...
