Ken saved the day! My computer failed and left me in a lurch. Fortunately, the hard drive was still functioning (although I learned that it had intermittent problems.) After a lot of trouble-shooting, I decided to purchase a new Dell computer. I brought it home and it booted up nicely, but what I really wanted to do was boot it up from the HD. In trying to do this, the new computer crapped out; it would no longer boot. Dell service was good, and they sent a new SSD to Kendal TS and Ken came out to install that. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem. Dell sent a new motherboard to Ken and he came back a few days later to install that. It now booted up properly and all the functions I tried worked fine. In the meantime, I had my grandson's computer and had that booting off of my saved HD, and this worked OK, but was pretty slow. I talked to Ken about how to get my new computer to boot off of my saved HD information. I gave him a new 2.5" HD with my old HD files saved on it, plus a new 2T SSD. Ken was able to open my saved Backup info and transfer it to the SSD, along with the boot files necessary. Ken came back today with the loaded SSD and installed it. It booted up just fine! I can get at all of my programs and files, no problem. He also installed the 2.5" HD as a backup for the new computer. Back in business! Ken saved the day for me. I called Kendal Technology after someone in my neighborhood recommended them. When I first called, Ken answered the phone and I felt at ease immediately. He was very outgoing and kind. I could hear his smile over the phone. Usually I feel very inadequate when it comes to technology issues, but he made me feel at ease and very comfortable. He set up a technician to come out to my house the next day. Joe arrived a little early for the appointment. He too was very professional and kind. He came right in and got to work. It was not an easy fix, but he was patient and explained to me what had to be done. He not only got my scanner talking to my computer but explained how to find the files once they transferred.
