Northern Lights Shopping Center — Local services in Economy

Very run down. The parking lot has no lines, and feels like a minefield. New businesses have no reason to enter, and old ones have no reason to stay. Giant Eagle is one of the best parts of the center, and it isn't that good. No meat counter, high prices, and bad help. At least they give Fuel Perks. The best store remaining is the Hallmark Gold Crown store. It's a rare gem here. Wonderful card store with nice gifts for sale. Napoli is a good restaurant, but not good enough to sustain a shopping plaza. The Wine and Spirits store looks like it'll be closing with law changes to let grocery stores sell their product. The only remaining clothing store, Avenue, has a small market of plus-size women, and can't bring a large amount of business in to the plaza. The only access to the local Walmart is through the plaza, which brings in most of the traffic. Walmart is slowly putting Giant Eagle out of business; when that happens, this plaza will...

This shopping center is totally run down. Theres like 3 decent stores here and thats it. They are all also next to vacant run down stores if you look in the ceilings are falling down theres debris all over the floor ect. I feel bad for the one restaurant thats there bc im sure they have issues with mice and ratts due to the abandoned stores next to it. Then theres the parking lot lol. This would be a good place for Monroe or any other shock company to come test their shocks out bc of how many bumps and potholes there are. Then theres the issue with the cops there. Theres 3 stop signs in this parking lot and the cops sit and watch them daily and pull numerous people over for not stopping or coming to a complete stop so be careful and if you do go here stop completely at the stop signs you come up to or you WILL most likely...

It is a shame that the Northern Lights Shopping Center is falling apart. The owner of that shopping plaza is losing a lot of money by not having nice stores there. The only reason that I go down there is for Giant Eagle and Walmart. it will be nice if the owner thinks about putting in some nicer stores and possibly a restaurant. I think Cracker Barrel would be great or a nice restaurant would be nice to have it that Plaza. The parking lot is horrible with tons of potholes. It used to be a nice shopping center now it's only good if you need to go to Giant Eagle or Walmart. I am hoping that they put in something nice down there....
