In the description for Chowan Crossing Shopping Center, it says shopping mall. That description is a bold-faced lie.There is definitely NO Mall in Edenton, North Carolina. The nearest mall is in Virginia, but there are a LOT of cool stores in Elizabeth City. Chowan Crossing Shopping Center consists of a ghetto Roses, Food Lion, (the only grocery store in town, unfortunately) a chiropractor, Verizon store, Michelle Nails and a Subway. My only stop this time was at Food Lion. The store was clean & neat. They need to improve on removing expired items. I'm a stickler for expiration dates. I had to empty an entire rack of Silk milk before I found a carton that WASN'T expired. I've had the same problem in the past with other dairy items. They're also always out of filtered/purified water. I can't give my pets tap water because it's got such a high mineral content, & the store shelves are empty everytime I go there.
