ECU Health Chowan Hospital Emergency Department — Local services in Edenton

Not just based off of my own recent negative experiences here, but I called the ED to find out the status of my own FATHER. Even after explaining the situation and I was treated with such disrespect and disregard of the situation that I’ve reached the point where I’ll drive to Bertie, Elizabeth City, Greenville, even Virginia, or die trying before seeking help here again. Patients are treated as drug addicts when they clearly have multiple serious medical diagnosis and conditions that cause such tremendous pain the only answer is to seek HELP or suffer! Chowan rarely actually helps, judges others as addicts, and denies a child an urgent update on their parent… I’ll be removing myself from the ECU health system after this incident....
