I was put in charge, by my husband, of finding the sink I desired for so long after buying many inferior porcelain sinks. After searching in local high end stores and browsing the internet I made my decision and reached out to Haven's Luxury Metals via an email as they are and out of town company for me. Several things caught my attention: The products are made in USA, 100% copper (no fillers) and the word "Luxury" in the title of their metals! Within minutes, I received a response to my email from Davis - the email showed much enthusiasm and yet I was a wreck thinking I am finally pulling the trigger and purchasing a high end sink from an internet search. I explained what I wanted and photos began coming across from Davis; with suggestions from Davis I purchased what was recommend to fit my standard size copper sink as extras: sponge cady and drying rack. Then the email began to end with not just Davis, however but Davis Haven's! My jitters became JOY! I new now to follow the experts lead with comfort! Everything was done via email - measurements, shopping options and follow-up and follow- through with Davis and his team. The entire Haven's team from shipping, specs department etc was not only professional but friendly and most paramount - enthusiastic! It turned my jitters into a memorable/positive experience. In the photos you will see the installers finish installing the sink and adding the new counter top. I now own three custom made Havens sinks in the Prestige stainless steel. We love all three of them, but the biggest one, a beautiful 35" apron front sink with the ledge system, is a work of art!! It's a power house of a sink, too. The slope is spot on to the drain and Alex was right when he told me nothing gets trapped in the corners. Some of the higher end square cornered sinks trap gunk. The ledge system is super cool. I keep a scrub brush in the small drop in tray and keep the 12" drying rack on top of it. So when I need my scrub brush I just scoot the top rack over and grab it, I throw it back in when I'm done and slide the beautiful metal rack back over it and it's out of sight again. The drying rack is seriously beautiful and I chose the smaller 12" width, so I leave it out all the time and it's not in the way. Under the rack all 35" of my sink is still free and usable. If I want to soak something I can scoot that under the drying rack and it disappears, too. The whole thing is freaking AWESOME!! We have a rustic elegant French Country home with distressed Knotty Alder kitchen. I was concerned the Prestige would look too modern but we took a chance since we loved the metal sample. It's not modern in our kitchen, at all. It's just beautiful. It doesn't scratch and it reflects just enough light to brighten our kitchen. We love our sinks!! This review should help homeowners who want to refresh their kitchen without wanting to gut it all out. So our home came with an old white enamel covered cast iron sink, and we lived with it for a couple of years because it was still functional. After finally getting tired of looking at the sad sink, we decided to find something that allowed us to perform a drop in replacement. Unfortunately, after searching through the box stores and kitchen catalogues, we couldn't find a new sink that didn't require us to cut through the existing granite countertop to change the size of the sink cutout. We then stumbled on the Havens Metal website, and realized that we could custom order a sink to our dimensions. That's mind-blowing. We worked with Alex from Havens Metal to define all of the dimensions and the layout of the cutouts for the faucet and dishwasher vent. It went through a couple of drawing iterations to make sure that Alex and us both understood exactly what we wanted for the new sink. As you can see in the photo, it all worked out to exactly what we wanted. The new sink has refreshed our kitchen, and it is gorgeous to look at.
