This salon is majorly disorganized and as unprofessional as they can be. I booked an appointment with "Riley". However, when I arrived at the appointment there are 2 Rileys who work there. This appointment was with the wrong one. So, I left. They called and offered me (December 2024) a free "conditioning treatment" and wanted me to come back in, leaving a voicemail with the offer. Later, I made an appointment with the correct Riley, which they admitted they were having a problem with bookings because of 2 stylists having the same name. That could be easily solved using their last initial or at the very least checking to see who I had seen previously. Then they sent me several texts on consecutive days before my appointment regarding their cancellation policy and how I would be charged without proper notice of cancellation. Also, they sent me another text trying to sell me on their conditioning treatment. I called in to say that they had left a voicemail regarding the free conditioning and the person on the phone had NO idea about the previous offer. Come day of the appointment, they called to say Riley was cancelling the appointment for personal reasons. So, if I owe them money if I canceled day of, why do they not owe me money? In all of this where was Riley? Maybe call the person who is having trouble with bookings at your salon and apologize even if it wasn't your fault for any reason. Needless to say, I am not returning to this...
Read moreI have been going to Frequency Collective for about a year now after following my stylist Sydney from her last salon.
Sydney and I have been working together for over two years and I see her on a 6-8 week schedule. She has done all types of coloring, balayage, long/mid cuts, styling for me. Sydney really listens to my requests and works with me on the best plan to achieve that. I always feel comfortable while in her chair. I enjoy our conversations and appreciate that she is willing to match whatever energy I come in with. It has also been rewarding to support her growing career. If you are looking for a new stylist, I recommend checking her out.
The Salon overall: The salon is centrally located for the Edmonds/Lynnwood area. Its in a cute stand alone home style building which makes it easy to get in and out of. A little tricky to find on the first visit, but they have a bright color mailbox on the street. The inside is clean and stylish. I feel comfortable when I am here. The styling chairs are comfortable and the washing stations have foot rests to make the angle more comfortable. The front desk staff are always so friendly and willing to provide refreshments when you arrive. I have gone to other salons that feel crowded, cold and elitist and you don't get any of that at...
Read moreI have too many wonderful things to say about my recent experience at Frequency Collective with Christopher. I came in during the first several weeks of their relocation process and asked for a partial balayage (blonding), and a cut.
Christopher took adequate amount of time to understand what I was looking for during my appointment and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I felt listened to and like my vision for my hair was valued. He was incredibly personable, professional, and makes his job look effortless (and fun!). I felt in good hands with his technique and appreciated his kind conversation with tidbits of hair ‘good to know’ info. And I haven’t been this happy with my hair in a long time - so THANK YOU! I would consider making another out of the way stop back in Edmonds just to get my hair done with him.
The salon is well designed - the hair washing bowls were super comfortable. Their hair products left my hair feeling healthy and...
