I recently built an outdoor BBQ island. An important part of the build was finding the right countertop and fabricator to perform the install. I reached out to three fabricators, and they came out and took measurements of the island using a normal tape measure. But, when I received their quote for the job, I was taken aback on the countertop installation. It was much more than what I initially budgeted for.

Then one day, I was at my neighbor’s house and notice he recently built an outdoor BBQ island with a quartzite countertop. The quality of the work was really good, and I asked my neighbor for the fabricator’s name and contact information. He told me to contact Emad at State Stone Work Inc. as he is the best person to work with and has fair prices.

I called Emad and he quickly came out to my house. The way he approached the job was so different than the other fabricators. Emad took the time to measure the countertop by using a laser measuring device that displayed the distance between two points. Emad took the time to share this information with me. He also suggested different types of materials to choose for my countertop. In addition, he suggested where to buy my countertop and the best person to talk to at the stone shop.

We went to the stone shop and told Emad which countertop we wanted. With that information, Emad was able to provide us a quote that was within our budget. A couple of weeks later, Emad called me to tell me that countertops were ready for installation. During the install, Emad was present to ensure that everything went well.

The owner( Emad) is very unprofessional, criticizes women, and very judgmental. I don’t recommend him. This is in response to Emad (owner) reply. My husband and I never disrespected Emad. In fact, he unfortunately was the one who disrespected us in ways that are beyond the service both a professional company owner and employee should be able to offer. All bathroom countertops and fireplaces were 100% completed by someone else, the only thing I asked of this man was for that ONE laundry shelf, and after he rejected my request, I simply just moved on, it should have been a simple come and go situation. Keep in mind that he also criticized the jobs that were already done by fantastic workers and I, myself, loved. Which already indicated bad signs Emad was going to intentionally offer. As soon as he walked in our house and saw that the fireplace was done by someone else, he called us "cheap" because he claimed that our fireplace was done poorly and that was what we get for calling someone who is not experience as and “good” as he supposedly was. Not only did he disrespect the job my home and made a very uncomfortable impression among us and lied but every time I would make a comment about how I want my granite to be, Emad would criticize me by saying, "This is why I don't like to deal with women because woman always complain and are not satisfied with anything." I would not hesitate to recommend State Stone Works, they are the best around!! I was referred to them by Mission Restoration. They removed the original granite, which was not an easy task, and installed new quartz countertops in our kitchen on our existing cabinets. I was worried about damage to the cabinet during the demolition, but Sam was excellent! There was not a scratch on them. Emad is very professional and easy to work with. He was able to deal with unforeseen delays on our end, holding the stone longer than expected. Pricing was definitely the lowest and we looked at many different places. Sam also did the installation in one day, was very detail oriented and addressed all my questions regarding the installation. They did have one issue that came up during install which would have required a seam on the backsplash that was not in the original plan, however Emad, without hesitation, immediately delivered a new piece of quartz in order to avoid the seam.
