Tortilleria Salsa — Local services in El Cajon

Good spot for fresh meat since they have a "carniceria" butcher shop. They can cut or slice any fresh meat, ham and fresh "queso fresco" cheese. Also has a small kitchen inside and will make you burritos- breakfast, carne adada etc, or various traditional Mexican. dishes. They also have they're own tortilleria on the spot. Which means they make their own corn tortillas and are always warm ready for pick up. They also sell some produce but quality is not anyways the best. They make their own salsas varying from mild table salsa to very hot xxx salsa. Small but has tons of stuff in ut. Including a snack section of over the counter Mexican ointments and medications....

Just from its outside appearance alone, this is the most uninviting market I've ever seen. I can't speak for anything else about it b/c I had no desire to step inside, and drove away instead.

I have always loved mom-n-pop businesses, and I had high hopes about this little market after reading great reviews about Mexican food items they offer. The staff that help with the hot food and the meat/dairy department are fantastic. I am putting 1 star because the women and young gurls who are at the register/cashiers always have a horrible attitude. They never greet you and they bag your items with no care to damage your products. They never say thank you or please . Super horrible serve at register from all the cashier staff.
