Coach Ronda Williams violates the YMCA's "Equal playing time guarantee for every child" and this has been a vocal concern by three other parents. Our daughters are punished for missing practice, sitting down, running late, etc. Furthermore, she violates the YMCA's parents handbook where we should expect a coach wkth camues that focus on "Coaching values centered on fairness, respect, and dignity" my daughter and her grand daughter both play fury M and W but show up for games. Her family member plays the entire game while my daughter and others are made to sit the bench for roughly 80 min out of 90 min game time : We are very disappointed with our daughterâs experience under the current YMCA volleyball coach. From the beginning, the coach has consistently shown favoritism, provided uneven playing time, and created a discouraging environment. Despite our daughterâs full commitmentâattending every practice and game, always on timeâshe was rarely given play time, even before she joined a club team. The coach encouraged her to try out for a local club, which she did successfully, and the coach even attended games where her own granddaughter played against our daughterâs team. Yet she later claimed our daughter never informed her, despite witnessing it firsthand. The coach has spoken to our daughter aggressively, once even yelling at her to âshut up,â which is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. She has also publicly embarrassed us as parentsâwhen my husband calmly asked why our daughter wasnât getting any playing time, the coach clapped her hands and accused him of yelling, despite his respectful demeanor. This type of behavior is unacceptable and inconsistent with the YMCAâs values of inclusion, fairness, and youth development. The coach often promotes additional practices around town but frequently doesnât attend them herself, further demonstrating a lack of accountability. Unfortunately, her actions have discouraged our daughter and left us with serious concerns about the environment being fostered on this team. We urge the YMCA to look into this matter and take steps to ensure all athletes are treated with respect and fairness...
Read moreReally dissapointed. I called 2 days after swim lessons started and asked if there was still a way my kids could join. Was told yes and for military I only needed to bring my ID to join. Came in a few hours later and was told my kids couldnt join late and I needed more paperwork to join. Called a few weeks later asked if there was space for the Saturday swim lessons, was told there was plenty of space, and confirmed the price of joining. Came in the next morning and was told one of the swim classes I had wanted has been booked for a while. On top of it they add an entollment fee equal to your monthly fee. I joined the 17th and thry do not pro rate that month ans my forst autodraft is the 2nd of each month.

She signs my kids into the daycare and turns to help other peopl . I never got a tour of the facility and have no clue where to go. After wandering around the place I find the daycar . Go to plut my kids in and they close in 10 minutes whixh was never mentioned when I signed them in. Fine we go to go swimming and the pool is closed for lessons. I tell the lady at the front desk and she hands me a pool scheduale and walks off. I never recieved any scheduales except for the pool one now, never recieved a tour and still dont wven know how to sign in or anything.    Read moreMy name is Kun Oh Son, Korean. 4years ago, my son and I went to El Paso because my son had to go to school in El Paso. I lived there almost 2 years. After I drove my son to school, I had plenty of time and I had difficulty spending time by myself. So I decided to work out and found this wonderful place, Bowling Family YMCA. As you guess, I am a new there in El Paso. Everything is new and strange to me. But this Bowling Family YMCA was like my family. The staff were very kind and helpful. They were always ready to do whatever members need. They are always smiling and make lovely eyes to me. Executive Director, Theresa, learned Korean and she greeted me in Korean every morning. I was so impressed. I did the lifts and rode bicycle and played squash by myself and played racketball with a nice gentleman, Ward Smarthers. He was such a great and nice person. Members there always treated me like their old friend. I spoke a little spanish so I learned spanish to have a nice gathering. I really miss my friends whom I met there. I also miss the staff and Theresa. I don't know when I can go to El Paso again.. but I will go and say "Thank You Very Much" to all of them I've know in Bowling Family YMCA. Thank you Bowling Family YMCA. I reaaaaaally...
