Never crowded. Decent prices. Always able to get in, do my shopping and get out in under 20 minutes. The produce is always fresh and lasts considerably longer than that "W" store. A few extra pennies are worth the quality and the speed to get in and out.
Update 2/9/2022 My previous review still stands. Stars remain the same. Prices have increased. Not surprising since prices have gone up everywhere. My biggest point of contention is the serious lack of open cashier lanes. During my visits, only 1 possibly 2 lanes are manned by cashiers. So the line for them gets long. The self checkout lanes are annoying. EVERYTHING you scan is announced loudly with the price. There is no volume to turn it down. This is on purpose since the software has a setting for volume control but it's removed from the display. I don't want others to know what I'm buying or the price. Not anyone's business but you don't have a choice. Please Weis... more open cashier lanes and have the volume control put on the display. It's just a setting controlled by system maintenance.
Update 4/26/2022 Weis has raised their prices. I understand that the cost for things is increasing but when a simple box of pasta (store brand) was $.88 and now $1.22. Come on Weis! That's around a 30% increase. FOR PASTA! Many people are on very tight budgets and pasta can serve many for less. I get that prices need to increase but 30% more on pasta. For this and other large price increases, I removed 2 stars from my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy mother, daughter, and I recently visited this Weis location (May 30, 2025). When we walked in, we werenāt greeted by any of the staff. We arrived shortly after the store opened so it wasnāt busy. There were three store employees standing there talking, completely ignoring the fact that patrons entered the store. We were trying to locate the ice to buy a few bags for my motherās company cookout. We didnāt know where it was and because the employees were standing there running their mouths, they obviously didnāt notice that we needed assistance. Finally, another employee came from another aisle (looked like she had been completing inventory) and kindly showed us where the ice was located and also helped us check out by using the handheld scanner so we didnāt have to lift the ice bags out of the cart.
This location needs to do better with their customer service. Thereās no reason that patrons should enter a store, need assistance, and not be able to receive help in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely LOVE my Weis Market in Eldersburg, MD! Every person that i have encountered at that store is helpful and friendly. I had not been in the store 5 minutes today before the manager Marcus came by to make sure we had everything we needed. No longer having a close grocery to my home, I purposely choose to travel to shop at this particular store for exactly that reason. I would highly recommend this store to everyone. I would love to be able to remember everyone's name but in addition I would also like to mention Customer Service, Dino in the meat dept., and both Sandra & Tamera @ checkout who was endlessly patient with my enormous checkout and a very sweet, helpful girl in produce. š
p.s. I forgot the very sweet, funny (& can i say great up seller) gentleman stocking in frozen produce... The entire experience today took a great deal of stress out of what is usually a long and...
