Wheatgrains Deli — Restaurant in Eldersburg

I went to the Wheatgrains Deli for the first time for lunch and ordered a regular (small) Philly Cheesesteak sub. It was at 2:00pm in the afternoon so the place was not busy at this time so it was quite peaceful. The woman behind the counter who took the order and also made the sub was incredibly polite and helpful. The dining area was very clean and tidy with music playing that was not too loud. When my sub arrived it was packed with beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese and banana peppers, just the way I ordered it. The sub roll was extremely good, with a nice crisp crust on the outside and tender on the inside, probably the best sub roll in the area in my opinion.

Exhausted from a long week I stopped at Wheatgrains and was greeted immediately with a smile and a welcome. I ordered the Italian cold cut and waited a few minutes for it to be freshly made. The bread is the most important ingredient in a sub and their bread is the perfect amount of crusty outside to soft doughy inside. The Italian meats were delicious and was happy to see a nice variety of meats instead of the typical “non-Italian” meats other places have. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by a smiling young lady who said if I had any questions feel free to ask. She gave me details about everything that I wanted to order. And their bread is fresh. Everything that I ordered was great, even my picky son ate all of his food. I also asked if they offered military discounts. They do but my order was already rang up and I didn't want to bother her with all the work of refunding and purchasing again. So she offered me a free item.
