Michael is a thief. Upon arriving to pick up my wifes wedding ring I asked him to show me on the diamond tester that all the stones were still real. We had a jewler in the past steal a diamond and replace it with a fake one so as a precaution I asked this of him. He said he would but told me not to come back. Only someone with severe emotional issues or someone trying to hide something would take offense to my request. I then pulled out my credit card to pay the bill and he immediately said cash only. Refused to take my card, holding my property hostage. Even though it's clearly stated throughout the store they accept cards with a $15 minimum. My invoice is $126. I had to contact the sheriff's office to force him to give my property back. While waiting outside for the sheriff's office he came out and threatened me as well. Super unprofessional and criminal. Avoid this shop at all costs! And if you must use their services, demand they test your jewelry in front of you before paying!
Reply to owner: First off, you're the one who insulted me from the second I brought the ring in by asking me if the diamonds were even real. You tested them all in front of me as to try and prove they were not. Secondly, the only person who was rude was your bipolar son. He was aggressive and acted like he wanted to fight several times. I'll gladly post the video of him coming at me and you telling him to be a good little boy and sit back down. Good for him he listened to his daddy. It speaks volumes you would take offense when someone asks you to prove their jewelry who was tampered with from a prior jewler asks you to show the stones were authentic. You would think someone with per your words, a "$35,000.00" ring on would understand that. I'd also be willing to bet that supposed $35k ring belongs to the business and not to yourself. Something the IRS would probably be interested in. And you've now admitted to profiling your customers by saying I looked like the type of person who would dispute a charge. I sure hope a person of color doesn't attempt to patron your store. And I didn't harass anyone outside. Several potential patrons asked me why the sheriff's office was there and I told them the truth. Several people turned right around got in their cars and left. One couple even offered to wait with me while the deputies were retrieving my property. In ending, those deputies stopped you from stealing my wifes ring whether you admit it or not. They had to force you to give it back. But hey, I probably wouldn't own up to that either if I were you. Bad for business. Fyi, I also filed a claim with the federal trade commission and contacted the pasco county chamber of commerce for your false advertising of accepting credit cards. The repercussions of your incredible unprofessionalism will last beyond just...
Read moreYear's ago, my brother purchased a Seaport watch from Michael's, gave it to me for a gift. It was so nice, I hardly took it out to wear it/show it off. I recently put a battery in it. Runs as good as it looks.
Update: It’s a few years later, and the watch needed another battery but this time I DIY’d the replacement. After unscrewing the rear cover, I saw the movement or the “caliber” as they are referred to in the watch building industry. The caliber 955.114 movement is a quality Swiss made quartz. Searching on line, the movement is used by a few other reputable watch makers, Tag Heurer for one. Pictures in search results show high end name brand watches with identical hands. So it seems when Michael’s builds a watch, they use quality components. The watch band too is high end, its by Hadley-Roma, a Florida company genuine leather! I have a few watches: Seiko, Citizens, and others and for a test, I’ll set and start each on the second according the same reference. Over a period of three months, this Michael’s is as accurate...
Read moreAwesome jewelers! I took my grandmothers filigree engagement ring that is 103 years old to have it restored to original ,she wore it so much that the wedding band completely wore out the gold on both sides of the ring. The diamond was taken out and put in another setting. He took on the challenge and it couldn’t be more beautiful I’m so happy with the workmanship I wish I could give them 100 star rating. Thank you so much ❤️ Another great job from Michaels Jewelry this Jade stone was in a setting I didn’t like because it exposed the edges. Michael took the time to show me my options and I chose this setting I’m so pleased with the Jade ring...
