This is the best kept little secret in Pasco County when it comes to fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared, reasonably priced, seafood. I had the lobster bisque to start and was totally overwhelmed by the quality and flavor. Not your typical bisque where it's thick and delicious but you can't find the lobster. This is amazing with chunks of lobster, small pieces of celery and more lobster! I then followed that with what they call a platter? Supposed to be smaller than the dinner... More than I could eat in a sitting, and homemade salads followed by REAL iced tea!
The best way to get there is taking US19 either North or South to S.R. 54 and then Turn on Tuesday road 54 heading East. Continue for approximately 1/4 of a mile to grand Avenue where you will make a Left hand turn. You will almost immediately turn in to their parking lot on the right. If you go too fast you will miss this little gem.
The owner is a doll and takes part in everything that is going on with his customers and their food. He checks on his customers to make sure everyone is satisfied and happy with what they have. He answers any questions you may have about what you're eating, when it was delivered, and where it was sourced.
Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She had a winning smile and attitude. She also informed us that the BYOB sign is for real. Bring your own wine or beer and the house will supply the glasses🤗
Stop in and say hello, then stay and eat for a while. It's like going to your uncle's...
Read moreBrought my mom for lunch and so GLAD I did! When you enter, the building, you are enveloped in a cocoon of the aroma of frying fish and other deliciousness 😋. The atmosphere is the old south; from the wide covered porch with rockers and swings and small seating areas to the checkerboard-covered tables and big windows inside. Enter and seat yourself and get ready for an excellent meal! I ordered the Honey Fried Fish and Chips (a slight honey flavor in the crispy batter) with home fries and cole slaw (all homemade and VERY fresh). Mom ordered Fisherman's Player with sweet potato fries and it was so good that she couldn't save any for her dinner later, lol. The fish is so fresh, you know it was caught that morning, and the chef is a master at preparing everything - no hard, rubbery, overcooked mess here! It's brought to the table piping hot with the best tartar sauce I've ever had - if the chef is reading this, can I have the recipe? It was so good, I bought a plate to take home for my hubby to have for dinner. I'll definitely be back! TIP: The gentleman who checked me out said their location gets really slow after 6:00 PM because that area's businesses are closed, so that's likely the best time to arrive! It's not all fried; they have soups, platters, sandwiches, fried AND non-fried meals as well as a "land- lovers" menu. If you like to cook your own fish, they also have a fish market in the building. Prepare to be blown away by the food, the prices, and the service. My new favorite...
Read moreProbably one of my favorite places since I've been in the Tampa Bay area, if you love seafood everything, this is the place to come. Each time we've come here it's been amazing and they make the best fried scallops, best gumbo, best fried fish and best blackened fish you'll ever had, plus you won't find better french fries anywhere, I challenge you. The place is cozy, inviting and the staff they are friendly and really professional, their main waitress she's awesome, took care of us.
Now about the food, we had gumbo and lobster bisque soup to start, it was amazing, the gumbo was packed with a lot of flavor and it had a kick but not too strong that it doesn't let you enjoy it. We shared their fried 1/2lbs shrimp and 1/2lbs scallops and their fried grouper and fries, it was the best fried fish and seafood I've ever had in my life, they have a rub that they fry their food in and even the french fries that gives the dishes a delicious touch.... Another great part of this place is that they don't serve alcohol but you are allowed to bring your own, so if you have a nice bottle of wine at home you like just bring it over and don't overspend on alcohol, they do have sodas and bottled juices and water. This place also has a market where you can buy fish and seafood at market price and their price is low. Well I believe you should give yourself a favor and come here and enjoy a delicious meal. Definitely...
