Starz Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

Have driven by here on several occasions. Always noticed what looks to be a thieving business. And I might have decided to go back a 2nd time had we not had a waitress complaining of her tiredness and the overall condition of the inside. Over the years, we have stopped at a lot of Mom and pop restaurants and found them appealing. This one however was not. The decor was not appropriate and the some paint vs fake brick walls was dirty. The ceiling has had many leaks with bulging and discolored ceiling tiles. Even 1 area had been painted a dark brick red many moons ago and left unfinished. The ceiling vents hadn't been cleaned in many moons as the greasy dust flapped from the A/C..Then, there were the pesky flies from the waitresses serving folks food on the front walkway that definitely out numbered the people inside. Now, as for the food itself. I had a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, a side salad and a drink. My partner in crime ordered the Captains Plater, baked poyatoe, a side salad and a drink..The chicken Fried steak with country heavy was actually fairly decent. The mashed were wall paper paste left in the steam table far too long. The Captains Plater was large, the baked potatoe was cold, the fish served was to be, Shrimp, Scallops, and fish. We're were the shrimp amongst all that batter, the scallops turned into clam strips without warning and the fish well over cooked as we're the shrimp and clam strips. Will we return for their Friday All you can eat Fish......

First time there referred by a friend of mine. Went in last Saturday to try. And to be honest I was beyond disappointed. It started off with the fact that I had to wait to even get a cup of coffee. We then had to wait even longer for the server to come back I can understand if it was busy...but it wasnt. Afterwards we continued to wait for refills while she was just standing at the counter laughing and joking with the girl who was "cleaning tables" rather than attending to her tables, luckily other servers were there and helped us. I'm normally very understanding of the business and know it can be a stressful job but it was too much. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very enjoyable but unfortunately this was my first and most likely will be my last because good service is the key to a good business and it was least to say lacking. When we were ready to leave the check was dropped off without any acknowledgement and when we asked to speak to the owner we were very rudely replied with a "he's not in" in what I would assume was meant to be English it was very...

In the past service was phenomenal, but when went yesterday the buss boy was taking his time cleaning off tables (was walking around aimlessly while 4 tables sat dirty and line was forming out the door to be seated), staff never gave us menus when we were seated (we had to go grab a random one from a table after the individuals sitting there left), failed to tell us that one of our orders (my mother-in-law's) was not able to be made due to they were completely out of it (until delivering everyone else's food so they then had to order something quick so that they wouldn't be just getting their food by the time the rest of our party was finished eating which all and all was not a nice mother's day gift to my mother-in-law), saw multiple couples walk out due to the lack of service, and could go on. Being generous by giving it a 2 star considering yesterday was mother's day and sure some of the waitresses have kids at home they weren't able to spend time with, otherwise would have just...
