I believe I have a case for Civil Financial Exploitation with this company bc they took advantage of an elderly person who is an at risk adult. She is dependent on me for half her care bc sheās over 80 yrs old, has a brain tumor and is deaf in one ear completely and almost deaf in the other. She was not supposed to shop at all but merely stopped in to look and was talked into buying not one but two mattresses, one of which we didnāt even need. That should show where she is mentally incapacitated! She wanted to look for her granddaughter who is supposed to pick it out herself and wasnāt even with her and she ends up buying me a king mattress and her a queen. I donāt even have a king bed and I donāt need a mattress! I have a queen and a sleep number mattress. But she got talked into somehow buying 2! I found out and told her go get your money back bc they havenāt even left the store plus she got my daughter the wrong one as well. She goes in and explains bc Iām disabled and canāt physically go and the woman grins, gets a major attitude and ferociously highlights the bottom of the receipt and invited my mom to sue them bc it says no returns. Do you think she could even read that?Not to mention the invoice with the policy isnāt even signed so is it even valid? Even if it is still valid, what kind of company doesnāt return an old persons money who is clearly confused and incapacitated? I guess this one does bc she was told they would allow her to exchange them if she behaved but if she compained, she couldnāt do that either. Well sheās scared now that she has to be nice. But im mad. And if I have to file a complaint with the BBB, Adult Protective Services, The Dept of Justice, whoever, I will bc thatās not right. Iām disgusted. What happ to companies that care about customers and have some respect? Money is the root of all evil bc people will do anything to keep a buck, in this case over 1300 from a low income elderly woman who could get food stamps if she wanted to apply. Btw, these mattresses are NOT new. If I could attach pics, I would. My mother felt she had no choice but to get them delivered so they were and they have stains on them. I will def attach pics when I file a complaint with BBB. Pls go anywhere else but here and donāt be taken advantage of like my mom was. Go to Mattress Firm. They allow you to take the mattress home and if not satisfied, return it. This place hadnāt even delivered ours yet when we asked for a refund and they refused. The employee who served me misrepresented the terms of the leasing agreement by telling me one thing, but the paperwork actually stating another. I went in the store on a Friday and the employee smelled like marijuana, so I left to return on Saturday hoping for someone else and she was still there so I ended up working with her. In speaking to the manager today to explain the contract was misrepresented, she claims to have been standing near us the entire time during paperwork signing however she was not. The employee explained this to me in the back of the store where I was viewing furniture, where the manager could not hear us. On my purchase day the manager kept mentioning how she was so busy running around and was ālooking for her breakfast and didnāt realize she ate it already.ā In order to purchase, the store has the leasing company send a code to your phone, at which point you are to finalize your agreement however I never received this code, so the employee processed my paperwork for me on her computer. I reminded her of this and she put her hand up and cut me off from explaining what the employee told me, swearing she was standing with us the entire time however she was not. When I mentioned my concern about the marijuana, she said, well, then proceeded to tell me how I was wrong. From a managerial standpoint, she never stated she asked the employee what was said or showed any concern about employees being under the influence at work. My mother also purchased on the same day, and in doing her paperwork for her I have found conflict in what was stated as opposed to what was actually processed. The contract itself is not the issue, but the gross misrepresentation of the contract is. Both myself and my mother were lied to about the terms of the lease and the manager seems to want to hear nothing of it. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a sofa and love seat plus a captains bed. I had to use a 3rd party delivery service. When the delivery showed up they only had part of the captains bed, no mattress. Then to find out I had no bottom drawers. The delivery people went back and had to get my sofa and love seat. They were real nice and I gave them a little extra when I paid them but still no mattress. I went back to the store to see about the mattress and found out that I was charged for a set of drawers for the bed I did not even order and that was what they delivered. I do not know what the salesman was thinking but I have to get that back to the store. They told me they could strap the mattress to the top of my car I said no way so they called the company that delivered everything else and they said they could deliver the mattress for $65.00, now take into account this was not my fault and they want me to pay more to have the mattress delivered. After getting home and checking ti see what was delivered I have no 6 set of drawers and an extra set up drawers that I paid for and did not want. I do not feel that I need to pay for their mistake and someone is going to have to deliver the rest of my stuff and take back what I do not want. The person that rang this sale up was a manager from another store and apparently he did not know what he was doing. Just people to make sure people pay attention to what these people are doing looks like they will add stuff to your order you do not want. Then they do not send everything you order. I will not buy anything else from this place. Another issue I had when my delivery was incorrect the first delivery I tried to call and the number they have listed does not even get answered.
