Man I wish I could opt for 0 stars. I set up an appointment for 12/28 between 8am-12pm for installation of internet. I paid $300 over the phone for the installation and first month of service. December 28th I waited, and waited, and waited.....no technician showed up. I called Spectrum and was told that for some reason they had cancelled my appointment. I rescheduled for the next day (29th)between 3pm-4pm. At 4:15 no technician had shown up. I had received many automated calls confirming my appointment and had answered them all. When I called Spectrum, again, I was told that the technician had been double-booked for my time slot and he was running behind. I needed to go to work so they rescheduled my appointment AGAIN for the next morning between 8am-9am. I work night shift at the hospital which means I sleep during the day. I had rearranged my weekend to be at home for these appointments and I still had no internet. The next morning (30th)a technician did show up and installed our internet. It worked for an hour. When my husband called them to tell them that the installation was a bust they then told us it would be 4 days before they could come out to look at it. After numerous phone calls and standing our ground they agreed to send someone out the next day (31st)between 12pm-1pm. That will be tomorrow. We’ll see how this goes. My husband will be rearranging his work schedule to be available AGAIN. This is by far the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. The only reason they’re still in business is because they are pretty much the only option in this area. If another provider comes along then Spectrum had...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst - hold locals hostage to their prices. Have resided in same location for 15 years - cable service has been horrible, but could not install dish due to neighbors trees blocking signal that he will not trim/cut down. Tried antenna for awhile, too. But had to return to prison of TimeWarner service. DVR's would need replacing every few months with "new" "never used" devices that would need replacing again in a few months. Then recently got a couple of chromecast devices and was finally able to cancel the cable service. However, still have to rely on them for "reliable" internet. Have had same router for three years with no real internet issues. Ever since canceled cable portion, internet fails EVERY Sunday morning and continues for several hours. I call every Sunday and TW claims 1.) issue with router and I need to call its manufacturer and have reset to channel TW specifies - not TW issue, but router company's. Really when it has functioned for years without issue!!! 2.) internet congestion causes channel to fail and changing it will relieve the issue. What since I cancelled cable portion everyone in the area suddenly started getting online on the same channel every Sunday. 3.) the frequency router is set to fails due to atmospherics or congestion. What the weather every Sunday morning makes it go out??? So, that means the clouds two weeks ago caused it, last Sundays rain caused it, and this mornings sunshine caused it!!! I am seriously looking for internet alternatives and cutting the tie...
Read moreGot it set up a few days ago and it seems fine. Used to have Verizon Fios and we now have this.... don't notice a difference at all.
Only complaint is that the worker seemed nice, but wasn't honest at all. During his visit -our house was completely empty since we just moved in. The man that came took advantage of the situation I was in ---I was out on the front porch watching my kids. He was inside on the other side of the wall obviously right across from me. I turned my back a few times. He walked around the house, setting up the internet, and snuck into my purse that he had previously seen me go into when he arrived. Everything was in my purse when I put it down on the kitchen counter... I go inside real quick to go get my phone out of my purse and he seemed to act a little odd when before he was really talkative and friendly. He seemed to act a little guilty. I notice my wallet was out of my purse and onto the counter.
I am a pushover and I hate conflict. I hate akwardness. I just laughed it off and said nothing to him. He looked very relieved that I didn't seem to notice anything. I laughed it off because my credit card is never in my wallet... it's in my phone case hidden behind my old rinky dink very outdated phone. I don't keep money in my wallet either. It annoyed me that he did that, but I have no photographic or video proof, so I didn't call the company and let them know... that's just words against words and usually companies will stick by their employees. I will leave this review though to let...
