Hayes House — Local services in Elizabeth

I've lived here for 12 years and will only leave this place when I purchase a home. It's conveniently accessible to the train, airport, and highway. I first lived in a 1 bedroom and moved into a 2 bedroom after I had my son. They renovate the older apartments when tenants move out as a practical way to upgrade the facilities. The building is family-friendly with residents both young and old. My toddler has made friends with the older residents, and Yvonne, the property manager. He looks forward to seeing them each day, and I look forward to the community events held a few times a year where I can fellowship with the residents. Every once in a while we have a standard maintenance issue (clogged drain, lightbulb out) but the maintenance team is prompt and attentive. The biggest example for me of how lovely this community is was when Hurricane Ida flooded our entire street and water came into the lobby. Tenants from all floors came and helped put up sand bags and check on older residents. Everything is falling apart. I’ve had someone come for a heater with a broken motor twice there solution was to leave my heater open with a with a piece of cardboard. I’ve had a water leakage in my bathroom twice in 3 months and both times they come and leave a huge mess with debris everywhere. They don’t cover your items I’ve had to throw out product due to the rocks that fell in it.
