Honest review. My family has lived in elizabethtown for over 68 years before elizabethtown became something worth seeing with dirt roads. Back then people where honest and straight forward hard to find these days. At first site the store was barely noticeable but once I stepped in it was nice and very well setup with a good collection of valuable coins. First thought I was like ok maybe this coin shop unlike others will help me out vs rip me off or lie telling me my coins are worthless when in fact they are not. Unfortunately this was not the case. They have been appraised and are valuable ranging from $100 to $800. Only took maybe 8 coins just to see if i got an honest estimate. Well not only did the lady not give the correct answer of what they was made of but she only valued them based on gold silver mercury ect. Not paying attention to detail of errors or the year's which is the two biggest aspects of what makes a coin most valuable besides the material to begin with. The guy that runs the shop was busy unfortunately but he was doing his job and helping someone he seemed like he knew alot more and I should have talked to him maybe. To be clear from the start, I did not make a purchase from this store, but I stopped there while traveling for work today and thoroughly enjoyed my time.

I made it clear I was browsing and was unlikely to purchase, but the man and woman working the counter were no less polite, attentive, and offered enjoyable conversation about their inventory and coin collecting in general.

An older gentleman came in with a few coins he was interested in selling and the gentleman behind the counter took his time to explain composition, value, and various points that would increase or decrease the rarity of particular items. The woman spoke politely at length to a caller, answering half a dozen or more questions with a pleasant and attentive disposition.

Again, I didn't purchase anything, but they treated me with no less respect and attention than if I had spent $1000. The customer service I watched them provide during my visit was above and beyond what I see at most establishments anymore.

I just happened to find and read the reviews of the Heartland Coins shop. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who gives Heartland Coins a review that is less than Five Stars, is just being stupid. I have been buying coins and silver from Heartland Coins for years. I will NEVER go anywhere else for my wants and needs. I have been in the shop many-many times, and the owner has ALWAYS been Honest, Informed, and Trustworthy. He's always easy to talk to, and is always fair with other customers who enter his store while I am there. I always try to purchase something from him, because he usually has something I want at a great price. If you don't know the coin or precious metals business, then don't leave any negative reviews. If you DO know the coin business, you'd never want leave anything less that five stars. So, to his point, pick on someone else and stop hiding your ignorance behind a cowardly screen.
