Tykables — Local services in Elk Grove Township

First time visiting the store from Canada and first time in a store like this too. I didn't really know what to expect as I'm fairly inexperienced with this stuff (and by myself) but the staff were friendly and patient with me. They helped explain various sizing questions, product differences, stuff about inventory, shipping, what's popular, and more - cool stuff.

Got to try on a few things to figure out my sizing in a playfully designed fitting room. Left with a couple boxes and a cute jumper. I wish I could've gotten more stuff but sizing inventory was limited during my visit, unfortunately.

Will definitely visit again next time! In the meanwhile, I'll be stuck ordering online. Hopefully more Canadian distribution...

While Tykables provides a wonderful product, they provide absolutely no customer service. E-mails regarding orders go unanswered. Phone rings and goes to a generic voicemail. They use Twitter, but very rarely respond, almost only if they will reply to anything positive or questions about new products. Any free shipping is very misleading, during the order placement, it will only indicate "Ground". You know know the shipper until you place the order. My package is now lost in USPS red tape. This company was doing well, but then when they suddenly expanded into a brick and mortar store, and multiple shipping locations, they lost their customer service. They grew faster than they could walk....

Fine if you enjoy misleading and fraudulent advertising about when products are available, when they will ship, and ehat the inventory on a given day looks like. I emailed them about this and every single time its the same narrative- apologies but we are a small business. Uhhh. Ok. Even small businesses have inventory control systems and people who manage the inventory. Or they hire people to do that work so that product isnt misrepresented to customers. The difference is that Tykables is one of the leaders in the industry so losing one or two customers because of these business practices isnt a big...
