Yesterday we took our sweet Phitz for the first time. One of our neighbor's daughter takes her fur babies and we felt her expectations would be high. Phitz needed a bath, nails trimmed and a cleanup of his whole body. When we picked him up and got home it appeared his tail wasn't trim at all, and he has a lot of hairs sticking out all over. We always give a business a second sometimes third try because we understand that they have never had Phitz and Phitz has never been with them. I would like to give them another try.
UPDATE Matt called, left a message wanting to find out exactly what was our concerns were and he wanted to make things right if possible. We texted him back about the concerns and the very next morning (this morning 12/22) he text saying we could bring Phitz back in anytime before Friday and they would take care of him. We took him in and as with any new client it takes some figuring out what is really wanted. When we got Phitz back he was just as cute as ever! Thank you Paw Spa for making our fur baby handsome for Christmas!!! I would very much...
Read moreBest dog grooming shop! I’ve been going to dog groomers for over 20yrs and this shop is hands down, the best one I’ve gone to. The shop is clean, the staff is friendly and the groomers are skilled. What impresses me the most is the priority they place on making sure that your pup feels comfortable. One of my dogs needs a muzzle when going to the vet and I will use one when taking him to a groomer as well. During my first visit to this shop, it was explained to me how they put forth a large effort in not using muzzles. It turned out that when dropping my pup off he displayed some behavior that indicated that it would be safer to place a muzzle on him however, when I picked him up, he had the muzzle off AND was having his teeth brushed!!! I couldn’t believe it! Since then, he still does need to start with a muzzle but it will be off when I pick him up. This act of kindness is so largely appreciated. I live way out of the area but have established this shop as our groomer because of all the terrific work they do! Elk Grove is very lucky to...
Read moreI'm new to the area and discovered this little place while picking up groceries at Safeway. I've taken my pup for a nail trim three times so far. I've also recommended to family and friends who have taken their pups as well also for a nail trim multiple times. The first time my pup hadn't had a trim in a long time and she has dark nails. I'm afraid to do it at home. They cut them so short, shorter than I expected without hurting her! So impressed! The next few times they haven't been as short, I feel like they were being extra cautious and not cutting too short but personally I think they could have been shorter. No biggie.
Pros: friendly people, caring and gentle with our pets, cautious w dark nails, can text owners for questions or appointments, PRICE, as of this post $10 for trim, $15 trim plus dremmel, good vibe and cute artwork.
The only downside is the hours and work schedule but its easy to work around. Closed 1-2 weekends per month but so far google is accurate so check here first before going...
