I went to this Dutch Brothers for the first time it's close to me apparently I just didn't realize, the server(quite young) was smiling and laughing and being nice to the couple before me, but when it's my turn (mind you it's my bday and I'm getting a bday drink) she becomes sullen her expression and body language changes, doesn't say hi or any greeting whatsoever that's AFTER she notices me as she's talking to the girl co-worker, I tell her my order, a large Carmelizer (my radio is off but theirs is blaringš) in a hearable voice but messed up the name a scootch (even though there is literally no other drink that sounds like it) she says "What?" not excuse me, sorry, or anything like that, no, "what?", and the music inside was still very loud (I felt insecure that I messed up the name a bit as is). With her face uninterested she takes my order and says "would you like to add the bday drink to this order?", and then makes the drink. The drink was good, no problems with it but I don't understand what's with this area, the Cinnabon near it also has rude (I think possibly elitist/racist/SEXIST towards men) younger kids taking orders, it's why I never went back to Cinnabon, and definitely won't be going to THIS Dutch Bros.
Please hire people that are nice to everyone and screen for discriminatory behavior(whether sexism or racism this is California I thought it was better than Utah where I used to live), I can make my own coffee, if customer service isn't good these are just luxury items, and I thought Elk Grove wasn't racist with so many different "ethnicities", but feels like some of the richer caucasian kids think their the customers and doing us a favor by letting us come by. Chick-Fil-A and In-N-Out have younger servers (I believe more diverse too), however they aren't rude, that Cinnabon and that Dutch Brothers service is no bueno.
By the way I went to get Dutch Brothers a few days ago before this and it was in a richer area and they were nice and polite, I am newer to Dutch Bros and got a good first impression but a bad second one.
Let's see if whoever reads this is reading it fully and to the end especially the person who runs the automated response, I already am sending this review to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIs there ever a Dutch bros I didn't enjoy?... no. They have the best flavorful coffee for everyone's preference. You can drink an espresso shot next to any other coffee competition and you'll pick their coffee every time. I love their hidden menu and their many mixed varieties. For any reason you don't absolutely think your cup was as good as you like, they're always happy to fix it as many times as necessary without getting angry or bitter like some other coffee shops tend to do. They're very spirited and awesome at all their locations I have ever visited from Oregon down to California. This location is no different. I will come back (always) and it's a worthy reason why some of the lines are wrapped around blocks. Plus I think they have rewards program if you like free coffee. (Great job again guys...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Dutch Bros has been a great addition to the area as it is so close to my home making it easy to go out and get something refreshing. The staff is this location are typically very friendly, but even my āworstā interactions are still far better than other DBās.
The reason for the 3 star review is due to the wait times at this location. Just today, I waited in line for 30 minutes. This is not the first time this has occurred, however I have hope that soon enough there will be change.
A few days prior I watched (what I assume was) the manager being very encouraging to the team and telling staff to start running drinks out. If they have someone run the drinks, as they do at other DBās, that would forsure help...
