The definition of INCOMPETENCE comes from this company and is represented well by this local substation.
On 04/25/22 I was expecting a package, I had ordered and paid extra for expeditious delivery so I could receive my package on the 25th.
UPS was tasked with the delivery. I waited till 3pm and no package, so I checked the tracking number. The tracking number stated UPS attempted delivery, but I was not home, so package was rerouted to Bruceville substation.
Funny I was home all day, and my security cameras never sent me an alarm of a delivery person at my door. They caught the landscaper, but not a delivery driver.
4:30 PM I went to Bruceville location after tracking number data stated package was delivered to Bruceville location at 3:33 PM. Giving time for employees to process inventory for my arrival.
I arrived at Bruceville location and voiced my concerns, so other patrons could hear my frustration. As a driver lied about attempted delivery and at my apartment, we have delivery lockers at the office, purposefully available for delivery drivers to securely deliver.
I gave my name to an employee, who miss-spelled my name 4 times and finally asked for the tracking number. Upon looking tracking number up, employee stated package would not be delivered to Bruceville location until 05/02.
I explained that was not possible as my tracking number data stated my package was in their inventory. Employee stated my information must be wrong because her screen states a different date. After a heated debate about tracking numbers and the relevance of the data being given to me by their company, a second employee intervened.
Second employee demanded my ID, after looking up my name, and an insisted inventory check, second employee located my package second package on the shelf in their package holding area just feet away from counter. As not having my ID was not enough evidence to prove that package was mine, she requested the address on the package. Which was funny because my full name was written in black marker on the side of package.
As I left, I wished well to the other patrons, at least one other was upset at UPS over a lost package and they couldn't or wouldn't help her.
I guess she wasn't as loud as I was about my disgust with UPS. They found my lost package!
Update 05/02: UPS substation responded to my review, noting my complaints could be addressed with UPS corporate @ given 800 number, with future packages banded from local substation to avoid my disgust.
Perhaps my message was received, no need to waste my time with corporate apologies and...
Read moreTerrible experience. The store manager, Athena acted like she had never shipped a package before. At every step—address, phone number, packaging—She looked confused, was rude and unhelpful the entire time.
She copied the address incorrectly and when I asked her to fix it by adding the “Line 2 address” she looked completely confused - like she had no idea what I was talking about. Then she refused to add the recipient’s phone number stating that “they don’t call recipients”!!!! Isn’t this part of shipping 101? Then she wouldn’t sell me a box unless I bought the packaging insert too- what a rip-off !!!!
It’s obvious Athena prefers customers who just drop off prepaid packages so she doesn’t have to lift a finger. Anything that requires actual shipping completely throws her off. Her lack of professionalism and knowledge is shocking.
I left and went to the UPS inside Raley’s on Elk Grove Blvd. Night and day difference—friendly, fast, professional. I was in and out in 5 minutes and paid a quarter of the price Athena quoted me.
Avoid this location. Go to Raley’s UPS instead—they actually know how to...
Read moreWent to drop off a pre-labeled package for Amazon to this UPS location and was told it wasn't in a shipping box. It was in the shipping box that was sent to me but the lady, Athena wouldn't accept it. This was ridiculous as I've never had this issue with UPS before! Secondly, gave her an item to be packaged and shipped with QR code and she refused it since it wasn't packaged. My QR code didn't require me to package it. I went to drop off items to Amazon Fresh and they told me UPS should've taken it with no issues. Worst customer service ever!
Lastly, the customer ahead of me had an Amazon drop off and she told him to use the kiosk next time. He said he didn't know how and she said we can help but to use it next time. We'll, what is HER job then? Maybe she shouldn't be working there if she refuses everything.
Never returning to...
