I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was unfortunately one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. Despite being the only customers there, we waited 15-20 minutes before anyone took our order. Then, after placing our order, it took another 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive—an excessive wait time given the empty restaurant.
We ordered an appetizer, but instead of receiving it beforehand, it came out with our entrées. We weren’t even offered water, and our drinks didn’t arrive until the main course came out. We sat there for nearly 15-20 minutes without any service while waiting for our food.
The food itself was underwhelming. The salad looked hastily thrown together with no care—just basic ingredients, no onions, no lemon, and very little flavor. When I asked for a bigger plate, the hostess decided to attend to another customer at the register instead of helping us. Another several minutes before a plate arrived. Were we supposed to wait to begin eating? No one checked in to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything else during our meal.
I felt bad because there was only one employee juggling the register, the kitchen, and serving, but it’s still a business, and customer service should be a priority. Overall, this visit left a lot to be desired. The service and efficiency were poor, and the overall experience has gone downhill significantly from previous visits. I would not recommend this place based on our...
Read moreMy family and I used to frequent this restaurant often several years ago And the food was great. We’re not from Elk Grove So today we decided to revisit for an early dinner, not knowing it was under new ownership. After we placed our order, it took a good 15+ minutes for the food to get ready, and as soon as it was brought to the table, I was shocked at the portion sizes that have shrunk from what I remember. The kebabs were so short and flat as a paper and overcooked. The beef and chicken Gyro were minimal and very small and the beef pieces were tough to chew. The bread used to be toasty and much tastier, and we would get the tzatziki sauce under the old ownership. The chicken Breast cubes and the rice Were the only thing that were good from what we ordered. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be bringing my family again. Seeing the owner respond rudely to other one star reviews only makes the situation worse. You need to take this with a grain of salt and be nice to your customers and learn how to enhance the food and be better so your business grows and attracts more people. The restaurant Is big and organized and the atmosphere is good, if only the food would get better and the portion sizes would grow a little. Good luck to you...
Read moreSomeone recommended to try out their kabuli pulao and combination kabab. Service was great, the lamb in the pulao was cooked so well and it had a unique taste which I liked. Chicken and lamb kabob was really nice it was cooked well. Also tried the chapli. Would definitely come to this place if I'm around. This restaurant has a party hall which is a plus.
Qabuli pulao 3.5/5 stars
Best kabuli pulao in Elk grove and Sacramento for sure. (areas of improvement are the rice and the raisins) but the lamb in the pulao was delicious.
Chicken and lamb kabob. 4/5 stars very delicious juicy and tender even the rice that it came with were simple rice but they tasted good.
Chapli 3/5 stars
The kabab itself tasted really nice but when we call it chapli it shall taste like chapli, smell like chapli look like chapli. Which is why I gave it this rating other than that it tasted pretty nice.
The restaurant was really neat and clean which makes it stand out.
Recommendations. There would be no match to this pulao if Baghlan or similar sela rice are used and the raisins/carrots are deep Fried.
Dining arrangement at the front can be improved.
No ranch on salad plz i think customer shall be asked if they...
