Ellington Farmers Market — Local services in Ellington

There aren't many attractions to get me hopping out of bed early on a Saturday morning, but the Ellington Farmer's Market is one of them for so many reasons:

Dragon's Blood Elixir Hot Sauce will have looking for ways t use hot sauce. I add this amazing clean brand, concocted by a former chef who knows his stuff, to almost anything where a hot sauce could add flavor--and that's a lot. Doug's small batch, original Strawberry Rhubarb version is a not sauce you will keep coming back for--except it's season, so hurry up before summer is over. I'm going for For Whom the Bell Tolls next visit.

My Uncle's Garden is primo organic produce--the kind that makes you crave farmer's markets above supermarkets.

Amazing Ackee is amazing in so many ways, the best of which is a coconut oil pastry with no bad stuff. This reminded us of our Jamaican vacation--but it's even better than the island ingredients we had there. We are customers for life.

DiFiore Ravioli's bring a whole new dimension to ravioli, and it's worth the trip to Ellington, especially since it's hard for us to get to Rocky Hill--even though 15 kinds of homemade ravioli might tempt us to Uber it.

There are so many more great vendors, but let me end with Mama's Macs where Stephanie's homemade French macarons will get my taste buds dancing any day of the week.

AWESOME place, kids over 5 get 2$, and they match ur w.i.c. farmer market yearly, and each week you can match up to 30$ in food stamps as well, lets u get the better food. Lots of good venders, tons of fruits and veggie, milk produts, meat/polutry/seafood products, bakery and tons of other heathy and all naural things, honey/deserts/jams/jerky and also...

Delightful market with a good variety of foods and specialities. Well laid out, not too crowded. Very friendly and helpful vendors. Well designed parking at the market, as well as parking behind Town Hall. All of the vegetables, fruits, snacks and fish that I have purchased have been reasonably priced and top notch on freshness...
