I have eaten here plenty of times due to the restaurants closeness and convenience. However everytime I go in with an open mind and decide to give them another chance I am thoroughly disappointed. The muffins are by far the worst thing I have eaten there and are without a doubt the worst muffins I have ever had. The lemon poppy seed muffin is the only muffin they have that is edible. Every other muffin is completely dry and are almost painful to eat without a beverage, they also lack flavor. The French toast literally just tastes like bread with only the slightest hint of egg and as far as I'm concerned has no seasoning or spices of any kind. The omelets and egg sandwiches are incredibly basic and almost flavorless, a better omelette or egg sandwich could be made at home and would be cheaper and would taste better. Their homefries are incredibly bland. The only good thing is their bacon or sometimes their pancakes. Everything here is way overpriced and they don't except credit cards. This place is almost always busy as well, so you would think it might be good, but this is most likely due to their convenience. If you want bad overpriced food, this is the...
Read moreI met with the guys on May 7, '23 who produced the movie titled "The Supermarket". These are folks who used to work at long-gone Ellington Supermarket (where the movie was filmed).
A local breakfast eatery which is all about classic fine dining where the good souls eat and meet good friends.
If you're from Ellington and you have never visited this establishment before, I encourage you to spend a dime on real comfort food.
From Eggs Benedict to Fish & Chips to French Toast, its restaurant is more than just a breakfast eatery. Subs and fried Seafood are good lunch deals. They're so delicious that you'll want to come back.

This place is a king among diners. I grew up in the south, so believe me when I say I know my way around a plate of hashbrowns and a country-fried steak. I got the steak as something of a joke, thinking it would be about as terrible as every other country style steak I've had north of Virginia, and I have never been more pleased to be wrong. The gravy has the classic thick and rich consistency, the breading of the steak has that perfect crisp but just starting to soften up chicken-fried perfection, and the steak within has been softened to perfection.
The hot chocolate comes piled with an amount of whip cream that looks straight out of a TV special, and the omelettes are absolutely gorgeous.
Every special-of-the-day I've ever tried has been an absolute delight.
