Today I drove my 81 year old father there so he could pick up a few things he needed. He goes to this store often, I waited outside for him and when he got in the car he said "hurry up home, I have to go to the bathroom they wouldn't let me use the facilities." I had already put the car in drive and proceeded to accelerate, when I stopped and said "they what?" He said the woman told him "their facilities weren't available to the public." I called and a woman answered. When I asked if she was the woman who just told my 81 year old dad a paying customer(even if he wasn't still a senior citizen) that he couldn't use the bathroom?? She replied " I did because it's broken"....So there was not one single working toilet in the entire store??? the only thing broken is this place's moral values-and lucky for her nothing else because I already left-I'll never, ever give him a ride to spend money in there again! We were long time customers-never again..and I bartend in the area and will tell everyone else I know to avoid it too! Next time let a human being use the...

"Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks," was truly lived out when I was in store this past Monday. I walked in and was immediately asked if I could be helped. I said I was looking for a specific type of screw and the friendly woman told me I would be met by someone in the screw isle. The man who helped me find my screw could not have been sweeter. I wish I caught his name so I could sing his praise, but he is 74 and just the kindest man. I told him I had been in three different times and still was unable to find the right screw. He was certain we had finally found them and told me to take them - they were on the house because I came in so many times! Been shopping at Ebel's Ace Hardware for years. They have a great selection of home and garden items, in fact, they have many things the big box stores don't have & never carried. For example, I needed to replace a basement window and Ebel's was the only place in the area that could help me.
