I'm sorry I no speak English perfectly as EspaĂąol is my first language... I'm sorry my skin is not as light as yours... I'm sorry if I just don't meet your standards of what a "good" person should look like but if I treat you with utmost respect, shouldn't that be enough for you to allow me to do business with you? Americans, Europeans and other tourists are NEVER treated like worthless hassles when they visit foreign countries, in fact, most tourists are treated with pure compassion and they are NEVER shunned just because they do not speak that countryâs native language. WE KNOW BETTER.
Nobody appreciates being turned away just because YOU have chosen not to make a small effort to at least partially understand what YOUR potential customers are trying to communicate with you. Call it what you may, but racism ends up burning bridges that couldâve been actual opportunities for people⌠Opportunities for exposure to a new word in another language which may come in handy for you down the line. The opportunity to bring a smile through great customer service to honest people just trying to make it by day by day. And perhaps even the opportunity for personal growth, by allowing yourself to go above and beyond any obligations.
Please, canât we all just treat others with the dignity and respect so that we may ourselves earn the same treatment? We understand that your business is under no obligation to assist any customer it deems unworthy but please, canât we be a little nicer to each other, even if weâre faking it? We understand that people have bad days, perhaps even suffering from bipolar hormonal havoc due to menstruation but please, can your employees place themselves in the shoes of others for a moment to reflect upon empathy for all? Make peace âŽď¸, not hate, for we are one race â...
Read moreCustomer feedback: Selection of the merchandise within your store is very poor. The racks are bare on the sales floor (majority of sizes are XS and S), at the same time they have many racks behind the counter that are fully packed, but they are withheld by the staff intentionally, they have more merchandise not accessible to a customer (behind the counter) than on the sales floor. It seems that this is a bottle neck that keeps the stuff not sold. The merchandise that is on the floor is overpriced for the used/ second hand items, a lot of shirts are in $40-50 price range, and I am not talking about the designer stuff. Majority of clothing on the sales floor looks worn/ used but priced as new. These items are much cheaper in the actual original store during sales than in this store. The mirrors in the fitting rooms are so distorted that customers always complain. The sales associates on the floor are unprofessional and rude. What happened to a good customer service? I ran across a lot of attitude from sales associates. Unbelievable! What happened to this store? I am not recognizing it. I won't be surprised if it went out of business soon because nobody wants to shop in this...
Read moreNo one should have to be publicly humiliated for not speaking a different language perfectly. San Diego is a melting pot of people from all walks of life and for a mother and young daughter to have to be told they should not shop at your store because the Latina mother didnât speak to you in perfect English is disgusting. There is no excuse that you can come up with that would condone this behavior.
To that mother and daughter who were belittled, humiliated and made to feel that they did not belong there, I am truly sorry you had to endure this horrible treatment by such horrible people. Encinitas is a very progressive city and to see this kind of behavior from a business there is truly disgusting.
Racism is alive and well and it needs to be dealt with, especially since this incident will forever be ingrained into that young girlâs mind. I have never stepped into this store but many members of my family have and I will let them, my friends and others know not to give their money to a racist business that treats their clientele so shamefully &...
