Very disappointing experience all around. I'll first summarize the 3 things that most bothered us: My daughter, the floral arrangement recipient, received the text with the order confirmation instead of us, thereby ruining the surprise. 2. The arrangement was delivered a full week early, even though the card included in the delivery indicated the date it was supposed to be delivered (if you zoom in, you can clearly see the Delivery Date on the card in the attached picture of what was delivered) 3. But most of all, when we called about the text and then the early delivery, I was appalled by the rudeness and indifference with which we were treated. The only thing the woman offered in terms of trying to right the situation was to offer a refund, but only if her driver would return to my daughter's house and take the flowers back. For the details: We ordered online on May 2nd for my daughter's 30th birthday which is on May 11. The first thing that went wrong was, as soon as the order was placed, my daughter, not us, got a text with a link to the order confirmation.... So, there went the surprise! We called and the man who answered, said, yeah, he know.. they were having problems with there automated system. OK, so that was very disappointing, but then, my daughter texted a picture of the flowers she received, not on May 11, but a whole week early, on May 4th. Again, we called the shop and the woman who answered said she would speak to the owner to see what he wants to do. When she called back, she couldn't answer why they were delivered a week early, but insisted that the order was on the bench for delivery by 4 pm (or something like that)... but only offered to put us in touch with tech support to help us find out what happened. I don't really care what tech support finds out.. I would think the shop owner would want to get to the bottom of it though. It would do nothing for me... it was just another mistake. The woman made all sorts of excuses from being the only shop open in the area, to being "slammed" with orders and the difficulty in working in the pandemic, to not having the correct container size in stock thereby having had to put more flowers in to fill it out..... however, as the customer, I shouldn't have to care or even know about the shop difficulties. I asked if she could help right the situation in any way, suggesting perhaps a 25% discount, to which she went on to tell us that she had already lost money because she had to use a larger container (due to no fault of mine, as the order was accepted when placed) I certainly would have been understanding, but the woman on the phone couldn't even offer a sincere apology. She just wanted to pass me off to their tech support. I stopped listening to the rudeness when it became clear she was not going to do anything to try to make up for our bad experience. To a lesser degree, I was disappointed that the flowers didn't look like what I ordered. I do understand that substitutions sometimes have to be made, but I chose the arrangement I did because it was clean and elegant, with only white and light pink (white daisies and lilies and light pink roses and carnations). The flowers that were delivered were pretty, but had other types of flowers, only 2 roses, large bright pink carnations along with with and light pink.... again, nice, but wasn't the overall of look of the...
Read moreI spoke with my Mother around 5:30pm on Mother's Day, to inquire if she had received a delivery from me, but she had not. Concerned that Snelgroves closed at 6:00pm, I called the florist, who stated they had over a hundred deliveries out and assured me that she would get them. My mother texted me at 8:45, stating she’s had still not received anything— but I had received no follow up from Snelgroves, that informed me about any issues with my order.
I called them again and they said that they had run out of flowers and they would be sending or more deliveries in the morning, so I canceled my order and placed one somewhere else. This afternoon I received a call from my mother, thanking me for more flowers, which surprised me as much as it did for her— as it’s two days late and my card was charged for the full amount, for a canceled order..
My mother stated that she had gone out to check the mail in the afternoon, when she had found a box of flowers on her doorstep, with the balloon blowing in the wind— as no one had even bothered to knock or ring her doorbell. Although the arrangement was just what I wanted— it was unprofessional to charge my card after cancelling my order, then sending out an arrangement two days later than the requested date, with no notice at all. Very unprofessional, very frustrating, and very unlikely that I will ever order from here...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the arrangement I ordered for my sister in law. I ordered a 50 to $60 fall bouquet to be delivered on the same day. She sent us a picture of the bouquet and it was nothing more than a vase of mums with one type of flower standing much higher than the others. I contacted Snelgrove’s to complain about the bouquet and they offered to come get the flowers and give us a refund. I declined doing that as this is the anniversary of her husband's death. I mentioned that there was a bouquet on their wedsite that started at $35 and was not even close to what mine looked like for $55. They told me that the cost of flowers are have increased blah blah blah. And that the $35 was because it was a shorter bouquet, to which I replied all that is is a shorter stem! I said this bouquet would have cost between 10 to $15 at S&S. Well I suppose they didn't like that comparison and told me that the cost of the vase alone was 20 to $25 which is NOT true. I was then told that I should take my business elsewhere in the future and maybe consider S&S. To which I replied that might be a good idea because then at least I would know that my flowers would look beautiful. Attached is the picture of theirs for $35 and...
