Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in East Windsor

I went here for lunch yesterday. I was told great things about this place long ago by a (former?) employee, I will call Dixon, because that is his name. I called ahead and spoke with a very nice guy I will call Mason, because that is his name. When I arrived and went through the drive thru to pick up my order, it was ready, and Mason was there to take care of me. Being informed that it was my first time there, he took the time to make me feel welcome and to give me good information. My burger was so-so, not great. It could have been warmer - perhaps it was a timing issue because I called ahead. The lettuce and tomato were very good. I had American cheese on it, but it was a little on the darker yellow to orange side. I've had better, but it was decent. The prices are a little on the high side, but not outrageous for a bigger, top-notch burger. I was going to try the fries, even though I'm semi-dieting, but decided the cost was just too high at $3.59 for a small, because I only wanted a few to break up the burger flavor. Perhaps the portions are generous, making them more cost worthy, but I have will power and was not about to overindulge on this visit... I liked being able to order in advance and pick it up at the drive thru window. I was happy there was no line, so I was in and out very quickly. Mason gave me an ample supply of napkins, which was also good. This guy Mason is the kind of quality person/employee that you would you want to be the face and voice of your company, as he answers the phone like a professional and is engaging at the drive thru. He earned this place a fourth star single handedly. If the burger was hot, bigger, and tastier (better cheese), it would be a 5-star operation. Went to Jakes last night.. Store was empty and it still took over 10 mins for our burger. Then the person brought the burgers over and I said this isn't what I ordered. She said switch burgers .. So we did and I looked at my burger again and I said this isn't what I ordered and she said yes it is.. Considering she wasn't even there when we ordered.. She was practically yelling at us. I asked if she was going to make me a new burger and she said no it wasn't their mistake.. Asked to speak to the manager and she told me she was the manager. I said are you going to make me a new burgher and she said NO.. Can you believe this.. They make a mistake and won't fix it.. I wrote to the corporate office and have heard nothing.. Appearance and staff when you first walk in, gives you a dirty, unprofessional and grimey feel. Besides being overpriced, it took 20 minutes for 2 normal burgers. To top it off, the light skin slender girl (Aliicia) working the grill looks like she hates job and throwing food around and never changed her gloves while touching dirty surfaces and handles and then touching food!!! Finally got our burgers and they were missing Grilled onions. Which she never apologized for and just said it will be a few more minutes after already waiting for 20 Minutes already. Here's a tip, get cleaner, more courteous and professional and clean individuals to serve the food. There's a million people out there without jobs that would gladly do your job 100% better for less then you make and do it with a smile. Get Bent...
