I went through drive through, waited 20 mins, I didn't mind I know it gets busy. At the window asked the girl if my insurance card was on file for the scripts, she said yes. I asked if my eppi pen was safe for me, as some pens contain alpha gal, and I need the eppi pen for my alpha gal allergy. She looked in the computer and said it was fine. I paid the balance in cash. Pulled away and looked - one of my scripts was filled twice, one of them not being billed to insurance so I was charged for it . Here's the kicker --- my EPPI PEN WAS NOT EVEN FILLED.
Mind you I have the worst cough, still getting over something, body aches, the whole nine. I go in and now wait inside in line for another twenty minutes.
The lady who helped me was very sweet, she refunded the duplicate script that was filled, and let me know they didn't have the eppi pen in and it would be a few days before it came in. Once it was filled they would be able to check it to make sure it was alpha gal safe.
No biggie, I come back when I get the txt days later that it was filled.
I wait in line, they pull the bag , I ask them if it's alpha gal safe, this woman tells me they aren't going to check it. It's NOT THEIR JOB. She said I can do it .... As I stand there with the eppi pen, box, and pamphlet she's handed me and ushered to the side to get out of the way of other people I spent about five minutes on google trying to figure out if this pen was safe.. at this point I'm frustrated, mad, and over it. I just want an eppi pen that will keep me from dying, not the opposite. Minutes go by on Google, clouded by stupid AI responses at the top that are never accurate. FYI never ever listen to Google AI answers when it comes to your allergy it will get you killed. So I'm scrolling and looking through any manufacturer information I can find on each individual ingredient on the pamphlet.
I set everything down.... I leave.. I call the store and ask to be transferred to whoever heads that pharmacy and never hear back. I go to Wegmans, they have been wonderful. Helpful and kind. They actually care.
Wegmans transferred every script my son and I have , and weeks later I continued to receive texts that we had scripts ready at CVS. .
I don't like to leave bad reviews, I always give myself plenty of time and think it through. It has been months and months and after speaking to a few friends about this I realized that it is definitely a pattern with them. I will never give cvs pharmacy my business again unless I'm in a dire situation and it's my only option .
Go to Wegmans Pharmacy, they...

rude. complaining staff (Evonna, swearing about me as she hangs up) shorted our prescription(once for sure, but one other time also... i just didnt see it at first.) doesn't work well with doctors. Service has been downright terrible these last couple of years. I'm the one who tries to do the work of mediating between the doctor's office and this Pharmacy and it's like they still can't fill a prescription according to what the doctor prescribes. The last prescription we needed filled our doctor had to finally call and speak to the pharmacist herself. She ended up having to give a verbal authorization so as not to confuse CVS and their system. One pharmacist (charlie) accepted the verbal authorization the next day a different pharmacist (trisha) said that that verbal authorization had not been entered into the system. And then she(trisha) proceeded to change our prescription paperwork according to a verbal authorization that she did not receive herself. And when I went in to find out what was going on, the pharmacist herself (trisha)told me that "the culture of CVS does not care about clients or prescriptions and that the only thing their corporate culture cares about is vaccines." She also told me that trying to help facilitate the pharmacy and the doctor's office work well together would "only be possible in a perfect world." She said that to my face in person in front of me and other customers. I filed a complaint with CVS reg mgr. And now I will file a complaint with the State Board for licensing.
and looked over a few other negative reviews... and lo and behold... it's a...
Read moreWe have been going to this CVS for years, first because our insurance required us to use CVS pharmacies, but even after that changed, we stayed only because they are the only 24-hr pharmacy in the area. However, we won't be returning again.
Tonight myhusband went to pick up our son's n prescription. Our insurance recently changed again, and he presented the card to the tech, who said they already had it on file. No, we just got this new insurance, you don't have this. She didn't know the difference between two companies with similar names, and apparently, as has been an issue for over a year now, no one has taken out my son's prescription information from over a year ago- two insurance plans back. They tried charging us over $100 tonight. When I called in to fix the issue, the person I spoke with on the phone was exceedingly rude, didn't want to take my insurance information over the phone, and refused to look up the insurance plan because he didn't have the card in his hand.
This has been our third insurance change in about 2 years, and each time, it has taken about 4 months for CVS to get it right. I've spent hours on the phone with CVS, my insurance companies, driving back to CVS multiple times, and every time, I end up with reps who are rude, roll their eyes, refuse to help, or say things like, "well maybe you should call your insurance company again, because it's not our problem." I'm completely done with this company and will be finding a new pharmacy to take my...
