Another update: I contacted them again because its now been almost 6 weeks since I placed my order. 5 weeks since they said their warehouse opened and also since they posted on Facebook images of them getting my product in store. 4 weeks since they told me orders would be sent out by the end of the week or earlier. I also left a review on their Facebook page telling this. I was accused of lying on both my review and my post questioning about my order. They deleted my post and reported my review to Facebook. They said in their response to my review "maybe if you actually provided some information about your actual order we could help you instead of wondering who peed in your cornflakes" instead of a normal polite response most businesses say like "sorry for the inconvenience please send us a private message with your information so we can find out." So theyve just been giving me generalized responses and lies for the last month. I responded in private messages with my name on the order and order number. They sent several responses claiming even my first name is different between Facebook and the order (my last name is different because of marriage but my first name is not spelled wrong unless someone on their end spelled it wrong. My receipt has my name right and my bank wouldnt have accepted it spelled wrong.) So that's just another excuse. They also argued that they didnt send my item from the store as they did with other people's faster orders because they havent had my item in the store. But they posted a picture of a bunch of my item getting in store a week after I ordered. They finally claimed they have immediately issued a refund. It has yet to go through. My bank will show the refund immediately so the delay is on their end as well. We will see how long this "immediate" refund takes.
Update: someone else posted on here just a few days ago saying they ordered something and received it quickly. Either she is a liar or Griffons Lair is shipping things all out of order. My item has still not been shipped. I finally heard back from them. Apparently they just started shipping things a week and a half ago. So either the other people leaving good reviews, talking about fast shipping are liars, or Griffons Lair is a bunch of liars about them not shipping anything in the last 2 months.
Ordered something over 2 weeks ago and still waiting for it to ship. They dont answer my numerous attempts to contact them to ask what is going on with my order. They dont answer their phone. They dont respond through Facebook despite posting almost daily and claiming to respond within 24 hrs. I would think maybe its just because of covid but I see someone on here posted about 2 weeks ago that their order was shipped quickly and the staff was great so I guess it's just them singling me out since I'm a first time customer. Shame. I was really happy to see their items they sell and their prices and was going to start shopping here regularly. But I'm not going to be ordering...
Read moreI placed an order in May and unfortunately it never arrived; however, unlike some reviews I did not have as a negative experience. We are going through a pandemic, there are a lot of delays with orders with a lot of companies. This is not a big box store, it appears to be a local business. Be a patient, a bit of compassion and understanding goes a long way. Additionally, their website does say it is undergoing a revamp. When I emailed, I didn't get a response but when I reached out via Facebook messenger, I got a response within a timely manner. They checked on my order and and explained what was causing the delay. I gave it a little more time but unfortunately their distributor hadn't gotten back to them. Not only did they respond to my message at 10:30 at night, but they were very apologetic and offered me a full refund. I received my refund in a timely manner. Although I didn't get the product I ordered, in my opinion I had a good customer experience. I appreciate the open communication I received. Because of that, I feel they deserve 5 stars. Read moreI have had issues with Griffons Lair Game Shop for a while. They have handled several situations in my opinion badly. When I played there I had an issue the one night.. rather than bring it to my attention privately it was brought up in a store sponsored group chat which I was not in due to a technical glitch of Facebook. I was banned from the store for a month of competitive play. What upset me the most was having to find out from others in the gaming community and not the host or the store directly. Upon bring this up to management I was told I was wrong and that I should not be upset. I am sorry that forever left a bad taste in my mouth and for the most part I have decided to take my gaming business elsewhere. There was no apology offered or anything.
