So, I can only say that greed and a new manager with new way of pricing doing things was able to ruin a great place to shop! I have been a customer for decades even when it was called Amvets. Always found bargains, buying things because it was a great item for a great price, not anymore!!!! No more real brand names that are fashionable but you can find from the 80s and 90s OVERPRICED clothing. No more quality bedding, I always found down pillows comforters not anymore ..and this is based on over a dozen visit see if it was just a temporary change. This store was always well organized, now it looks like a junk yard with mess and cheap really used overpriced products. This plane a PROFITABLE thrift store not a NONPROFIT!!! They get all the donations than turn it around and price them like if it's a Hollywood secondhand store, I found new items priced for higher than you can buy online... I thought all these years, thrift stores are for bargain hunters and for people can not afford to go to department stores and pay full price, well now the game has changed .. I always loved this store for the past 22 years .. it was my fun time to find great things for great prices .. no more😔 Also I would like to know now that there is new manager where is all the quality good items are going???? It's so obvious that it's going somewhere else .. after 22 years of being a loyal customer and loving the store I can tell when quality donations aren't out out here anymore.. furniture nothing but old (and I don't mean antique) ugly chairs , toys department mess and barely anything, few months ago it was packed! Let me show you with a few pictures of it allows me to upload.

Valley Thrift Store is honestly one of the best thrift spots around. My brother and I frequent this location quite often. Even when it’s busy and it usually is, the lines move fast and the store feels well-organized, which makes shopping so much easier. The staff here are super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it starts at the top. The manager, Susana, always greets people with a big smile and sets a positive vibe throughout the store. What really stood out to me is that she’s not afraid to jump in and help keep things clean and running smoothly she leads by example, and it shows. On top of that, they keep the store stocked with a great variety of items, and browsing never feels overwhelming. It’s clear the whole team takes pride in the place. If you’re in Escondido and love thrifting, this is definitely a spot worth checking out!

I give this THRIFT store one star because they price GOUGE USED, old, stained and items that still have tags. THIS IS A THRIFT STORE. This is NOT NORDSTROM or NORDSTROM Rack! Where are they getting this stuff? Donations? Auctions? I dont care. You have to price reasonably. Even when youre pricing a pair of Anthropologie pants for $49.99 and maybe its half off one day if youre lucky. Its still $20. Which you can get at Anthropologie on a sale. So why are you pricing things SO HIGH? I dont like resellers myself. I'm not a reseller. I shop at thrift stores for the hunt and deals. Half this stuff is used and stained. And youre still pricing it at ridiculous levels. I dont know who is buying. Is your staff taking home the good stuff that doesn't get sold? I mean, are you not trying to make a profit? What's the turnover? You cant possibly be moving stuff. And you only take cash and NO EXCHANGES OR RETURNS. You're pricing used jewelry for thousands of dollars. Really? Let me remind you. This is a THRIFT STORE. We all know what thrift means. Please adjust your prices accordingly. Or you will not make a profit. But maybe you dont care? What's the seceret behind this store? I'll keep spending at Goodwill. They are WAY MORE REASONABLE and clean. I've been going here for 15+ years. And this is the WORSE ive seen yet. No excuse. Stop with the greed. It doesn't look good...

Every time I visit this thrift store I always leave with something that I love or find unique. It gets very overcrowded on the weekends. The parking lot is usually full by noon or before noon. Some people park across the street or nearby to get inside so, it’s a pretty popular and busy store. Go on the weekdays or in the evening to not deal with an overwhelming crowd. Only downside about going too late in the day is getting all the leftovers people have left behind.

A lot of people are complaining at the items being marked at a higher price. One of the reasons why items are being marked so high is due to Tik Tok. I have seen this thrift store on Tik Tok a few times with thousands of likes, comments and views. Due to the resellers or people finding vintage, expensive or high quality items at a cheaper price. Now that the store is getting alot of attention especially with the amount of resellers you see throughout the store. It has now attracted the attention of the owner, management, staff members, etc. Which brings into play why items are being marked way higher than ever before. The more traffic that comes inside, the more money the thrift store makes. Staff members are looking up the price of name brand, vintage or high quality items that are received through donations. Then pricing it accordingly to sell to consumers who are attracted to coming to the...
