This RV Park is a surprisingly nice place to stay, and very convenient. It is right on the outskirts of the small town of Etna, near two restaurants (one is Dottie's, which has great burgers, fries, onion rings and soft serve ice cream) (and Bob's Ranch House, which has breakfast all day and a giant size menu to go along with their gigantic cinnamon rolls). Some of the conveniences for campers are the things nearby: the Shell gas station, which has diesel and ice, a block from Dollar General, a mile or so from a grocery store, and it's the last town before the Klamath National Forest for awesome sights, hikes and swimming. There is a decent laundromat adjoining the property, and a very nice shower house. The grounds are...
Read moreI went in for a propane fill and was told I’d have to wait until noon, an hour later. I stuck around until noon and then was told I would have to wait until 3:00pm due to workers near the propane tank. At 2:00pm, the workers went to lunch, so I asked again if I could get propane while the workers were gone. They said I’d have to wait until after 3:00. Needless to say, I got a little angry and left! Oh, and don’t use their laundromat either. You have to buy a card for $1:00, then load money onto it in increments of $1:00. For a $2.25 wash, you have to spend $4.00! And, you can’t get close enough to the dump station to dump, either!! I had to use 2 sewer lines! Never again will I visit this...
Read moreI guess it's safe to say we LOVE this place. :-) Came for a week and stayed a month and a half! We're section hiking the PCT so bump along in our "base camp" RV. Typically stay at a place a week or two (at most) and then it's time to move on and hike the next section or two, then move on again. But Shanna and the ladies at the Shell made it impossible to leave. So nice! And grassy, partially shaded, quiet sites with a little store, huge clean laundry, and the nice little town of Etna and all of its ammenities right here. Was definitely worth the longer commutes to the farther trailheads to just stay put, relax, and enjoy!...
