Majestic Theater — Local services in Eureka

I feel sorry for individuals who only know big box chain theaters. There is something absolutely quaint and adorable about indie theaters like the Majestic. The owners take pride in what they offer; you can see it in the decor, the staff, and the atmosphere.

Being in Eureka, it's like a family gathering prior to the movie starting; everyone saying hi to everyone else (alas, we're the newbies in town so we just nodded and smiled). If you don't make this place a weekly family tradition (or stop in if you're just passing through town), then you're missing out on a piece of Americana.

Great theater, incredibly friendly staff. We rented out the whole theater to watch The Wild Robot and Layla took care of us with just the best attitude and excellent service. This was the second time we've rented out the whole theater (we have lots of loud and crazy littles) and it is by far the best theater experience we've ever had. Highly recommended and will be back again the next time...

My favorite theater but today I could barely hear the movie due to all of the kids yelling and screaming. It's the only time me and my wife take away from our two toddlers. The kids in the theater were worse than toddlers. The staff did nothing to stop the yelling or the picture taking.
