No intro, hello, or how are you , just asked âso youre 2 weeks pregnant?â I am 5 weeks pregnant (currently) ah so your maintaining the pregnancy? I say yes. Then Immediately goes into discussion about drug abuse, drug addiction and drug classifications in a very aggressive way. Then tells me âSo get your ADHD meds approval from your therapist, we will sign a contract and i will see you in 9 months when your baby is born with complications and youre not breastfeedingâ i say well no i dont want to take the meds if its going to cause complications, thats what i was trying to ask and learn about. Then proceeds to continue going into drug abuse, drug addiction and how dangerous ADHD meds are etc. All very aggressive and targeted towards me. Then says âill need to drug test you to give you the medicationâ i said okay thats fine. Then leaves and ends the appointment. Doesnt ask if I have any other questions, just leaves and does no other physical exam, questions about my health, any medical history, nothing. This is the correct order of operations by the way. All while im trying to be friendly and genuine and hes completely walled off and acting like im looking for adderall, when in fact i had no time to speak up and ask about other medications that were not Adderall or Ritalin. This appointment made me feel 100% dismissed, unheard, unseen physically and emotionally, and scared of doctors. I am having a baby, which is serious and i want to be taken serious. I also feel extremely uncomfortable with Dr Wallentines presence and as if he had no empathy or emotion during the visit and it was extremely forced. I immediately went into the truck in the parking lot and cried for 20-30 minutes, hyperventilating and having a panic attack. I realized how he didnt even check on me at all. Never asked how i was. Never did a physical exam, and only came in sat on his chair and treated me and talked to me like a drug addict. I had a long sleeve shirt and shorts on, so maybe he was thinking i was hiding marks on my arms. When really ive been having cold and hor flashes for weeks now and cant regulate my body temperature because im pregnant. On top of that i said several times i havent been to a doctor in 2-3 years. So i need to be seen. The nurse also almost forgot to ask if i was allergic to anything and I am. I told her i am 5 weeks pregnant, and i would like a normal check up and labs. And i also mention towards the end, I would also like to discuss ADHD medications with my doctor. In the end this place does not care about patient care, my pregnancy, or listening to their patients at any point. I will be filing a formal complaint to the Medical Board of Georgia against Dr...
Read moreThis has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a doctor's office in my life. I arrived right when they opened, so it was pretty dead, yet I still was made to wait an unreasonable 20 minutes to be seen. But, this isn't even the bad part. My problem is that I haven't had a bowel movement in about a week. This is a very serious matter. The doctor had an x-ray done on site and confirmed my statement. I notified him that I had tried Myralax and had not received any results. I requested that he call in a script of Golite to my regular pharmacy. He refused and stated that he wanted me to get a CT scan first. Reluctantly, I got the CT the very same day. After gettig the CT, the CT tech advised me that the doctor will not have the results for 24-48 hours. I called the doctor's office and advised the nurse of my completion of the CT scan and again requested a script of GoLite to be called in to my regular pharmacy. After being put on hold, she returned and stated that the doctor will not be able to write the script until he gets the test results. I inquired as to why the doctor wishes to cause me to suffer longer than I already have when the images have already been taken. (The nurse had to be reminded twice that their office actually scheduled the CT scan to begin with) I was placed on hold again, then the nurse returned with the exact same answer. When I requested to speak with the doctor, she denied my request and offered to let me speak with another nurse that willl tell me the same thing. All this, for a prescription laxative. A $40 co-pay totally wasted. Save your time and money. Go to Urgent MD. It's about 7 minutes away from MedNow and will not put you through this nonsense. I have my GoLite already and paid a $30 co-pay, with a 10 min wait and only needed an x-ray. DONT WASTE TIME AND MONEY ON PEOPLE THAT DO NOT...
Read moreI went there about 2 weeks because I felt the worst Iâve ever felt. Body aches, headache, fever, sore throat, etc. Got there and saw the doctor and was there for about 30 minutes total. They did my vitals and everything and I still had a fever when I got there so they gave me some Tylenol and then 5 minutes later the doc came in looked in my ears and throat and said it was probably something viral. Didnât test me for anything even tho I had a fever and body aches and a very inflamed throat which he could see. He prescribed me amoxicillin, ibuprofen, and zofran. Went home and got started on the amoxicillin and ibuprofen. Was up until 4am with TERRIBLE body aches and just all together did not feel good at all. My fever got up to 103.1 that night and I know it takes a while for antibiotics to kick in so I just took ibuprofen and was finally able to go to bed. Woke up the next morning and had a rash on my hands and my fever came back/never really went away. I still felt like crap and I could just tell something wasnât right. Ended up going to the Wellstar ER and turns out I had mono and was very dehydrated the whole time. They gave me IV Fluids and told me to stop taking the amoxicillin. So essentially if I had kept taking the antibiotic, I wouldâve probably gotten 10x worse. I am never going back to med now because this all couldâve been easily avoided if they would have just...
