Riverside Antique Mall — Local services in Evansville

📌 This is not something I want to judge towards everybody for sharing this! 📌 Listen, I love this store... a lot. And I do have something to share my opinion about putting purses in your lockers. This is towards the gray area. Of course, we need to put them in there because we were told to do it, and take your key along with you while exploring around the store. Those are the rules! Especially if someone who might be shoplifting, bringing armed weapons, or explosive devices by putting everyone in danger. But at the same time, we have people who really need to carry their purses at all times; according to whether they have something for medical uses depending on the person's health they're in: like asthma, allergies, diabetes, and other medical problems. Some of us are afraid to leave our personal belongings being left behind. Some don't. And that's ok! Totally understandable! If you need to bring something with you while going through the mall, I advise everyone carrying ONLY smaller items: cell phones, medical stuff, wallet (along the credit/debit cards, insurance cards and whatnot), cash, and car keys. Put them in your pockets at all times before you start exploring there so you don't have to stand and wait in line the entire day. It's easier than said done! REMEMBER TO BRING SMALLER ITEMS!! DO NOT BRING YOUR BAGS WITH YOU, NO MATTER WHAT...

I was in the area so I decided to stop in and see what they had. A vendor wanted me to give them an offer and I declined, they then asked me what was wrong with the item and I said I just wasn’t interested. This vendor continued to follow me around the store bringing their items for me to give offers on as I continued to decline. Eventually I was done and ready to check out. The lady following me was the one at the front desk! She denied to sell me items from another vendor and asked me to give her an offer on her items again. So I decided to finally give her an offer that admittedly was low but not crazy low but I honestly didn’t want to buy. She immediately was very upset about my “low ball” offer for her very over priced items. I was very respectful but she began being very rude to me suggesting they have plenty of buyers and I wasn’t needed. I will not be back and suggest you don’t give realistic offers no matter how much they follow you around...

I absolutely loved this place after driving 5 hours to visit some other shops in the area. I picked up a set of pictures from the 50’s of an entire family and a photograph of a group dressed up for Halloween. I was super excited, however after getting home I decided to check if the Halloween vintage picture was real. Something told me I’d seen that picture before and sure enough it was one of the first ones to pop up. It was a waste of my money and a huge let down because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Use this as a warning because their “vintage” maybe something you can just go...
