Wesselman's Supermarkets — Local services in Evansville

I was sold a split chicken that had gone bad. That was Wednesday the 11th of June. I opened it today June 12 after taking it out of the refrigerator and it was bad. I took it down to get it replaced. I was told that they could not replace it or give me my money back without a receipt. I've been doing business with Wesselman's here for 30 plus years and never take a receipt. Everyone knows me, and I spend a few hundred dollars a month at minimum in that store. So, having no receipt, but having the package labeling and bad chicken is not enough? You won't take my word anymore? We won't be doing business anymore. Of course, I told my neighbor. That's a family and the mother had gotten sick two weeks ago from buying bad meat at Wesselman's. We live 100 yards from this establishment. If this is how they treat their neighbors? Imagine how they're going to...

Fried chicken is the best in town. I tired to order a 16 pc for my grandmother's birthday which happened to land on labor day weekend on Sunday. I called 4 times begging Logan to take an order for me and he refused saying they were booked fri-monday. I get it, i work retail/food service but it doesnt take me 10 min to do a single order last minute. I'm wasn't asking for a huge amount, but a 16 pc. I asked if I came in the store if I could get it then, and he said can't guarantee any will be out for sale. OK, fine. The deli is keeping this store afloat, if you know you sell out of a product on a constant basis up production.

I get holiday weekends. I absolutely 💯 know what its like. It doesn't take long for a 16 pc to fry but...

Evertime I go to this store they always over charge me on something....The cashiers don't care about anything they act like your a bother when you say that's a wrong price .....It ashame I live really close and would give them a lot of my business.....but I can't trust them ....Rite now I have a water melon that I just bought and cut open its bad in the middle ...and this is the item the cashier tried to over charge me on ....it was 3.99 She charged me 9.59 ....WHAT!!!!!!OVER...
