Tiger Bowl — Local services in Excelsior Springs

Took my 11 year old and his friend, and they were beginner bowlers. After a few rounds each and them mostly getting the ball in the gutter I went to ask the front desk man if he would please let us use the bumpers. He said: "NO, only for 8 and younger" After the last round and the boys only scoring around 30 points, I went up and and asked (it was a lady this time) if we can do one more round but PLEASE this time with bumpers, and she reluctantly came to put them up and then lectured the boys on how "they are old enough to not have to have them" it was humiliatingly for them and I could tell me son was holding back tears. :( She came over one more time rude about the bumpers with another comment, and then finally we finished the second round and left. I wish I would've said something but I was just trying to not make anything worse or more uncomfortable. We could ever go back after this, it's sad how people treat...

Tiger Bowl is a fantastic bowling alley that is impeccably maintained. My wife and I were staying at the Elms and were playing at a bowling tournament elsewhere in KC during our stay so we decided to stop by Tiger Bowl for some practice the day before the tournament.

This bowling alley is great, real wood lanes, retro equipment that works perfectly and great staff. As strangers just coming in for open bowling we immediately got a freshly oiled pair without hesitation. We received many well wishes for our tournament the next day and had a great time practicing here. We went there with 8 adults and 6 kids so we had a pretty big party. I asked for two lanes and after a few minutes of talking to her they huffed and said ok. She asked how many games we wanted to play and I answered as many as we can fit in 2 hours. They said we had to tell them in advance how many games we could play in that time frame, and prepay. They refused to let us play back and forth between the lanes. Everything we asked they either said no or just huffed about it. Most rude staff ever. I would never recommend this place.
