Went for an early dinner one night. We were seated right away. The place seems a little cramped but it was fine for us. If you have a wheel chair or walker you might find it hard to navigate though. Service throughout our meal was fine. A couple of communication problems due to language barriers but drinks were refilled, food was brought out quickly.
We each got our own salsa, which I like, flavor was good, chunkier than most restaurants. Chips we were given were either a little burnt or cooked in old oil, flavor was not quite right. They are thicker chips as well, they hold up to salsa and I imagine nachoes well. The ground beef was a little bland, the chicken in the fajitas had a good flavor, the food was fine in general. Portions were decent and prices are in line with most sit down places around town ($10-20 per person). Menu is not overwhelming big but has plenty of options.
Will probably try it again in the future but did not leave me with a great desire to...

It just tasted bland. The beans and rice were cold. I ordered a bowl of cheese dip, they charged me $4.25 for a little bowl that wasn't even full. We were asked to wait 10 min. Which is fine, but the place is so small there is no where to wait, except outside. The only thing that I liked was the salsa, it had a lot of fresh cilantro and the french fries that were nice and hot that we ordered for my little niece. I probably...
Read moreI came here for Taco Tuesday, which was very busy. It took about 5 minutes or so before we got a table, which wasn't bad at all considering how packed it was. The staff really hustled to get orders out in a timely manner, and the service was good. I had several chicken tacos, plus their margarita special ($6.50 for a pitcher of lime margarita). The tacos were great; the chicken had a lot of flavor. The chips and salsa were also good. The margarita, however, was so-so; it mostly tasted like fake lime. Otherwise, I had a nice experience at Molcajete and would definitely...
