Daylight donut and snow boba tea — Restaurant in Excelsior Springs

First time here will definitely go back and tell everyone about it that I know and come across! I’ve been looking for a good donut shop because the one in my town closed down unfortunately. 🥺 I’m very glad they did tbh because I’d of never found this amazing place in excelsior springs!!!!! The lady at the desk was super friendly, very patient and kind! It took me quite along time to pick out my selection from all the yummy donies I was looking at and they don’t just sell donuts! They sell all kinds of stuff from breakfast sandwiches, to b&g to pastries to even burritos etc! Now to the taste! The taste of those scrumptious donies! Ohhhh boy let me tell ya the fluffyness, texture, the quality/ quantity you get! The next thing is it’s very hard to find the perfect combo of flavor without being hit in the face like a boxer of sweetness but somehow this place did it!!! Very well done! I will say however my pastry I got I think it was the strawberry cream cheese filled one was very lightly filled so I prolly won’t get that again but everything else was very very good! The sandwiches that were made for me was literally like it was made fresh not a store bought/ pre made egg/ patty/saugy nasty bacon that you usually see!🤮 It was premium quality that I haven’t seen in a while the fresh egg looked like it was literally cooked in a skillet and then put on to my sandwich. The sausage looked like it was actually smashed and flattened out and cooked on a flat top grill The biscuit and croissant were very fresh and very tasty!!! 10/10...

The owner should be embarrassed at this mess of a location. the Interior of the store appears unfinished and ran down, and the counter itself is rather shabby looking, being placed in a tucked away corner of the building. The food itself is just okay. Nothing special at all. To say "the customer service is terrible" would be an understatement... they only accept cash unless you are willing to pay a minimum of 6 dollars to use card. And if you try to purchase something less than the 6 dollar minimum, they will attempt to upsale you to meet the requirement. The building is updated inside and looks really nice. They were serving everyone as fast as they could when I was there. It was the second day, so still very busy. The donuts we tried were really good, better than what we had got from the previous Daylight Donuts we had in town. They have some hot breakfast options but I did not try any of those this time.
